La Roma Restaurant – BoltonWe came across the restaurants website a while ago and only just tried it, as shame as we have been missing out. There is plenty of bog standard Italian eateries, however going of the dishes we had, La Roma's food seemed to be a notch up above the norm. The starters had a different twist to the usual items served up, pate stuffed mushrooms in filo pastry - deep fried, and stuffed tomatoes with tuna and crab in a sauce - very nice and just that bit different. My wife always goes for a Lasagna, this was the first one she had where the meat did not taste of cheap 'meat pie' flavor - it was very nice. I had pizza, the dough was crisp and thin, with a good, not overwhelming topping. We went mid week and found the service very good and friendly.
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonA wonderful relaxing experience! A refreshingly child-friendly restaurant set in beautiful surrounding. The food is the best italian we have ever tasted and the staff are very friendly[nothing was too much trouble]. Would recommend La Roma too everyone.
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonFantastic food in a peaceful setting. A very friendly place. We have a young daughter & the friendliness of staff make going out for a meal so much easier. They even prepare a mickey mouse style pizza just for the kids with jug ears shaped dough. An extensive menu, but I cannot seem to get beyond the chilli garlic bread & prawn tagliatelle flavoured with fennel. Beautiful.
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonWe had not been in the Wilton Arms for years as we considered it to be 'Pub food' in the worse sense. We recently noticed a sign outside that says 'under new management and home cooked food', so we gave it a try. What an improvement! the food is really good and as it says 'home cooked. Some of the dishes are equal to that in a restaurant and therefore, excellent value for money. There is also a good selection of wine & beers to choose from and the decor & the atmosphere are really nice.
Wilton Arms – BoltonCiao Napoli is one of our favourite Italian restaurants. The staff are so friendly and make you feel special. The food is excellent, they have very good chefs and we love the relaxed atmosphere The place is unpretentious unlike some other places. We have been going there for years and Maouro is a gem . The place is very child friendly. Our grandchildren love going there
Ciao Napoli – BoltonExcellent food, lovely location great staff. Have an 18month old son & nothing is too much trouble. Very helpful would definitely go again & recommend. 5 star
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonVisited with a party of 8 on a Sunday afternoon. Very pleasant service and uniformly well-presented, high-quality food, clearly freshly prepared but without the overlong wait that that can sometimes bring. Drinks good value and jug of tap water brought. Very pleasant surroundings. Recommended.
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonI went here for the first time with a date last night and it was an enjoyable evening. Impressive decor, lovely furniture, overall nice feel to the actual restaurant. The food was good quality, very tasty and well cooked. My only slight criticism would be that the service ran too much 'like clockwork', a bit of personal touch/customer interaction would have been wonderful.
Nam Ploy – Boltonbest food around ,,great place
Tavern Fayre – BoltonGood food, well served in good surroundings. Good deal at lunch time (£5.95 for pizza or pasta)
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonAbsolutely dreadful!!!!!!! Don't bother.
Nam Ploy – BoltonNAM PLOY - went to Nam Ploy on the 17th March 2009 after work and the meal was absolutely fantastic. I am going to go again for my birthday.
Nam Ploy – BoltonI visited Nam Ploy on Valentines Day with my girlfriend after reading all these fantastic reviews. Both of us have travelled around Thailand before, and we're always on the lookout for authentic Thai cuisine. On the night they were of course very busy, and unfortunately the service was intermittent (however our waitress was lovely), and the food varied. Although some of the food was quite cold, it tasted nice, and on a different day I felt I would've been a lot happier. But our real issue was with the "club room" downstairs which had two or three people in it and didn't really justify the distracting bass we could hear upstairs. If Nam Ploy read this, I seriously suggest you rethink that room. Especially when it seems to encourage girls taking drugs in the toilets nearby. Don't get me wrong, if I was in a club I wouldn't care less, but in a restaurant...!
Nam Ploy – BoltonWorst place I have ever been.
Nam Ploy – BoltonLarge venue, which was a bit quiet when we went but Im hoping it does well as the food was very tasty and fresh and the service was good too. I like the open kitchen too, all looked very clean. Just a warning this is a no alcohol restaurant, not a problem for us but one of our guests was mortified : )
Dhanak Deira – BoltonHi we had a a fantastic meal on christmas eve . The menu was brilliant.
Nam Ploy – BoltonI visited this restaurant on a first date! I had never tasted thai food previously. It was a lovely cosy warm authentic place, the food was absolutely fabulous, the company wasn't so bad either! The staff were very accommodating and friendly without being pushy and overpowering! I would definitely eat there again, especially if I manage to fix a second date!
