Recommended by a very good friend of ours who talks about this place like its the best thing since slice bread, me and my partner thought it was time we went too see what all the fuss was all about. I must point out, the real reason we had not gone before is that we live on the other side of Manchester and normally go to the city. Anyway we made an effort and went on the Saturday 16th February for a Valentine dinner for my partner as I was away on the 14th. We got there early but bar was fairly busy. We was welcomed by the manager who asked if we booked a table. At this point I was worried because I did not book. When I told him this, the manager was very friendly and said it would be ok and asked us to have a drink in the bar. We got a drink and had to stand at the bar as there was no seats. More and more people came in and 20 min went by. My partner did mention that we did not leave our name with the manager so things were not looking good. I felt a tap on my shoulder and it was the manager asking us to follow him to the table. He took us to a very nice table in the window and asked us if we wanted a drink He was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We had king prawns mussels to start which was fantastic and lamb and fish special for our main course. I must say was on of the best meals we have ever had. The place was packed but the service we excellent and friendly. We got to know our waiter who was a bit of a clown. The manager came over to ask us if everything was ok and I told him we will definitely be coming again. What a knight! Well worth the drive, and we are going back with our friends as soon as we get back from America.
