Great food and a good selection of well kept beers. Superb service and quality of food. The new landlord of the place seems to be really making a go of it and getting back the community pub atmosphere whilst creating the sort of restaurant feel that makes you want to take a special drive out to enjoy.

Lovely traditional style with and pleasant and efficient service and good home-cooked food - the beef and ale pie, for example, was really tasty. Good selection of beers, the guest beers, Bass and Hancock's HB, were superb and the house red was also very good. As a bonus the car parking opposite the pub is plentiful and convenient

I can not compliment this pub enough, The food has that home cooked feeling, but at the same time you know your eating out, the staff were attentive and the hostess could not do enough to please, well done. This has been my first visit and i will make a point of going there next time I am in Port Talbot

Just been very skilfully "done-out" and the designer has, against all the odds, managed to improve on it's previous lovely ambience. Good choice of foods especially the specials and the service is always cheerful and efficient. We go there regularly and always enjoy it.

Even better now that smoking is banned - good wholesome food (we love the corned beef pie but there's lots of very tasty choices) and the service is polite and efficient. Nice homely feel and one of our favourites.

Very polite service, food good and refreshments very good. Worth a visit in the summer for the wonderful view that extends so far as Devon. Better now that smoking is banned.

Of the many hostelries we visit this continues to be our favourite. I believe that this is mainly due to the high quality, home-cooked style of the food - and there is a good variety to choose from. But also worthy of mention is the friendliness of not only the staff but of the clientele. Spotlessly clean and a lovely old-world atmosphere completely free of the plastic-style that scar so many pubs these days.

So much better now that the smokers are banned from blowing it all over our dinners (it sometimes seemed that we were the only non-smoking patrons in the dining room) But we kept the faith and regularly enjoyed and still enjoy an evening meal in The Pheasant. The staff are lovely, the food is good and wholesome with a good menu choice and best of all is the landlord's choice of wine - ask for his recommendation it's always really good.

On entering this cozy little Welsh pub, we were delighted with the warmth, friendliness of locals & general "I'm at home in my own Pub!" The publicans nice young couple who certainly know 'something' about good old hospitality! Thoroughly enjoyed our all too brief stay in the area!

One of our favourites the Greenacre has good home-made type meals available as well as a good variety of more modern favourites. Nice atmosphere, lovely staff and friendly locals. We visit often

Not as nice a setting to anyone that's been to the New Garden in Aberkenfig but definitely superior cuisine. The best chinese i've had locally.

Tru-Orient – Bridgend

Regular customer, staff very friendly, food very cheap & cheerful in "Early Bird", bit overpriced at full price. Avoid school holidays & bank holidays. Some parents are unconcerned about their children? behaviour! Consistent standard of food, recommend the ribs. Best ever! House wine very good and good value at under £9 / bottle.
