I used, to go here when it was a Great Pub!?
The Belle Vue – Brighton and HoveAlways my go-to restaurant for date night as the staff are so sweet and hospitable! The prices are reasonable and the food is extremely delicious every time.
Galileo Pizzeria – Brighton and HoveWent for a cup of tea and cake with my husband today(18/07/15) and it was a delightful experience, delicious homemade carrot cake and very tasty spinach and mozarella twist. Friendly staff made it even nicer...top marks.
Davinci Food for You – Brighton and HoveEnjoyed a great evening at this place and the food was fantastic, the staff lovely people, will be back for sure.
Zafferellis Restaurant – Brighton and HoveJimmy’s is a combination of a restaurant and bar with an all you can eat buffet for an affordable price. As soon as I set foot inside the restaurant, the atmosphere was bright and welcoming. The restaurant appears a lot smaller at an initial glance whilst outside, yet inside does not compare. Instead, Jimmy’s Restaurant is spacious and quickly causes a customer (like myself) to become comfortable. With a variety of different food stations, ranging from Indian, Chinese, Italian and many more, there is so much to choose from, it is the perfect place to go to when indecisive on what kind of food to eat and allows a person to have absolutely anything instead! The restaurant offers live cooking stations, where the customer is able to choose the ingredients that they want and watch a chef cook their meal. Immediately, I was aware that my food was placed in good hands.Despite how busy the restaurant seemed, the service never faltered. They were quick to replace an empty glass or take away finished plates. It is the perfect restaurant for families, social gatherings or any kind of celebratory matter.I had an incredible time at Jimmy’s restaurant and highly recommend anyone to pay them a visit at some point, and I have repeatedly came again since that experience!
Jimmy’s Restaurants – Brighton and HoveWent back to the Giggling Squid in Hove after its recent refurb. They've kept all the nice stuff (i.e. the food) and revamped all the other stuff (i.e. the fixtures and fittings). Still feels nice and bistro-ey though and it's deceptively large so you can fit bigger parties in there comfortably. The chicken satay remains among the best on the south coast and the Massaman - a mild, peanut curry - is gorgeous (though it's a shame this is chicken or lamb shank only, rather than beef). Staff are lovely and it's got a wine list that doesn't make you gasp when the bill comes round. All in all the Giggling Squid is a hit, a palpable hit. Recommended.
Giggling Squid – Brighton and HoveI can recommend Galileo as a friendly, authentic Italian pizzeria.
Galileo Pizzeria – Brighton and HoveThe best views around.
Brewers Fayre – Brighton and HoveTried this local restaurant for the first time as had heard good things. We went for a late family lunch on a Saturday and were sadly disappointed. Four pizzas on hard ( not fresh ) bases, four watered down colas and two desserts and an espresso were £60 without service! I don't think that is a reasonably priced lunch for food of this quality. Real shame as the staff are just lovely and the atmosphere is good.
Galileo Pizzeria – Brighton and HoveAnother good meal at Galileo's - this time delicous Sea Bass, one of their 'fish of the day' specials. Can also recommend their pizzas! Friendly staff, good service, great food and easy parking. No need to book midweek, unless in a group.
Galileo Pizzeria – Brighton and HoveWhat an amazing find?! The ambiance, personal attention paid and most importantly the quality and taste delivered consistently every time makes The Chilli Pickle restaurant in Brighton 1st choice for discerning diners. You cannot sit n the restaurant without hearing exclamations of delight as diners sample the Thali's at lunch-time or the cleverly designed evening menu. If you haven't eaten here then you are truly missing a superb dining experience.
Chilli Pickle – Brighton and HoveCafe Rouge was amazing! Try the mussels! Yum Yum. Fast and efficient service :)
Cafe Rouge – Brighton and HoveI would definitely recommend this restaurant. It does really nice pizzas and traditional Italian fair. Really friendly service and reasonable prices. Best Italian I have had in Brighton (and I've tried a lot!) owned by Italians too unlike the others in that area!
Buon Appetito – Brighton and HoveI went to Olé Olé as a party guest one Saturday night. The food was good value and the atmosphere later on with flamenco was brilliant. I am just about to book a party night as a surprise for my other half and all our friends!
Ole Ole – Brighton and HoveThe best 'BLT' I've ever had!
The Hikers Rest – Brighton and HoveBAD BAD BAD BAD FOOD! This must be the worst Chinese I have ever come across. We entered the restaurant and were not greeted until we asked for a seat. We were ushered to the middle of the dark restaurant that was actually empty, so decided to seat ourselves at the front by the window to get some light. We were disappointed to find that there were no prices on the menu, but thought it would'nt matter as surely prices could'nt be more that £25 - £30 for the both of us??? I had to chase staff to get us a drink then was immediately asked for our order even though we still had our coats on? Then we tried to order our food from 3 different waitresses who couldn't speak very much english which was a difficult task in it self. I ordered the smoked chilli chicken, which when arrived looked like shredded beef but white. It did not taste of chicken or have a smoked taste and looked like white twiglets? However i did eat it as i was starving. My girl freind went for the spring rolls, 2 spring rolls turned up and you could have mistaken them fro what you get at iceland for a childs party!! They must have got them from Iceland - only two. I had crispy duck which was ok but they were very stingy with the cucumber and spring onion?? My girl freind had the tiger prawn and vegetable something? they were not tiger prawns - they must have got them at iceland as well. What mainly up set and insensed me to write this reveiw was the spicy hot chicken i received, I've never tasted any thing as sweet as that and it tasted like sweet and sour sauce - there was not a jot of spice in it and it was not at all hot! Slightly upset at the fact my meal had been spoilt by bad food the bill was given to us £35.80 including drinks which was a tiger beer and an apple juice. The portions were really small, in very small bowls. I decided to complain about the last dish as i said i was not happy to pay for it. Afterwards a crowd of chinese waitresses and various other people from down in the kitchens surrounded us, we eventually agreed to pay £27 as i was finding my self getting slightly angry beyond discussion and needed to remove my self before i started something i would regret. The manager that came out to talk to us also looked like he'd been in the kitchen himself and his tracksuit bottoms were covered in oil - not a good indication of how clean the kitchen should be, bit worrying ! He looked like Rab Nesbit off the TV. PLEASE TELL EVERYONE TO SWERVE THIS RESTAURANT
