I visited Memories of India on Saturday 1st March to celebrate my father in-laws retirement. Our table was booked for 8pm and we were seated at that time, we ordered drinks and poppadoms shortly after. The poppadoms and chutneys came but we had to ask for side plates and knives because the table was only half laid. We then had a 25 minute wait before we had to ask someone to take our order. After we had ordered we patiently waited, during which time we had to clear empty bottles from our table as no one was tending to them. An hour later we still had no food and neither did any of the tables around us, by this time we had had to order another round of drinks. We spoke to the manager who assured us our food would be no more than 10 minutes. 20 minutes later the food came out but they forgot the rice. We waited for the rice but by the time it came out the rest of the food was going cold. We then asked the waiter for the manager who refused to get him. We went directly to the manager with our complaint and his response was ''What do you want me to do about it?'' he then asked us ''Do you want to leave?'' Our response to this was obviously yes and we left, having to find somewhere else to eat at 9:40pm!!

My friend and I visited the Harvester this Tuesday 24/07/12) to use a £20 goodwill voucher given in regard to a complaint I made. My friend is in a wheelchair and when we tried to eat there in Easter the facilities and staff manners were of poor standard. This return visit was a delight. A bell has been connected to the disabled access door and the staff were very friendly, polite and fetched my friend's salad as the bar is upstairs.I cannot thank you enough for taking my complaint seriously and giving us a very enjoyable time. The food was lovely and very filling. In fact I could not eat it all!Keep up the good work and thank you again.Caroline Bainbridge.
