This was our first BBQ platter at The Riverside and it won’t be our last. All the meat was cooked to perfection, succulent and juicy and the sides complemented the array of meat to perfection, The selection of rubs and marinades used were full of flavour and I would highly recommend.

Macklins at The Riverside – PulboroughWe had lunch and although quiet it was a nice atmosphere. Staff was lovely, very friendly and helpful. The Menu is mains based, not too big with a good choice. The food was freshly cooked and very tasty. We very much liked place and had a good experience.

We were not offered any condiments ie, apple sauce, mint sauce or horseradish. Pork belly inedible, wouldn’t have fed to my dog. My husband couldn’t eat and staff handled very unprofessionally. Did offer more meat but the moment had passed. Cauliflower Cheese was cheese with cauliflower. We were not the only people who did not enjoy their food. We were not offered dessert? Happy to take the money even though we hadn’t eaten and complained. We didn’t go out for a free meal though! Extremely disappointed has the potential but did not tick any of the boxes today except for the music,

Macklins at The Riverside – PulboroughVisiting Pulborough for the weekend. Decided to reserve a table the Friday night for dinner at 8. Received a call from a friendly lady on the day to inform me it was Bingo night starting at that time. As we were not interested in the Bingo, we brought forward the reservation to 7. The pub is a tad different to the norm but it was a nice place which hosts to the locals and the atmosphere was lively and staff very nice. Had to chuckle when asked for the menu and was informed there wasn’t one and the choice of food was burger, veggie burger or potato croquettes. Figured this was due to Bingo night. However, the burgers and croquettes we had were delicious.

Food was just enough, tapas style but believe other options available suitably priced. Friendly staff, relaxed vibe. Will go again.

The best roast potatoes and the cauliflower cheese was amazing. Would definitely recommend. The staff were friendly and a lovely venue - what's not to love. Be returning again soon.

The cauliflower cheese was to die for, as was the delicious gravy. The service was 10/10 too. Great value for money. We’ll be back.
