Gigi’s – GlastonburyThis is one of the best curry houses in Bristol. The food is always very fresh and the take away food every bit as good as that served at the table. The popularity of this little restaurant is a measure of its quality. The garlic naans are superb - as good as anywhere in the world - and I have travelled. The chilli garlic chicken is a must. For the veggies the big metal platter thingy is really good - in fact its all excellent.
Ahmed’s Curry Cafe – Bristol City CentreHeard the buzz, so had to check it out. Liked it, really liked it. Only had drinks in the top bar, but the restaurant is certainly on my list of things to do in the next month. Found it friendly, relaxed and had a great little vibe to it. And I'm a stubborn and hard to please git.
Goldbrick House – Bristol City CentreWhat a fantastic little restaurant!!! Everything about it was truly wonderful. The food, the staff the location, just opposite the wonderful Cathedral of Wells. Brilliant. Keep up the good work
Rugantino – WellsExcellent place for an Indian meal. One of the best I?e been to. Will be going back and would recommend to anyone.
Raj Mahal The – Staple HillThis is an absolutely amazing place, I cannot praise it enough! The food is very tasty and full of flavour. I ordered the Green Thai Curry and I can honestly say it is the best Thai food I have ever had. The staff are very attentive and friendly. We may go back to Bath just to visit this restaurant again. 5 Star, highly recommended.
Thai Balcony – Bathgoing back for more
The Bell Inn at Standerwick – FromeThis is a gem! Wonderful, family Italian food served with a smile. The food is excellent. I could go on and on but come in and try for yourself... you will not be disappointed
Amici – Bristol City CentreLovely cosy Italian restaurant. Delicious food and great service.
Martini – BathThis restaurant is ok I suppose, but I have had better pizza from a supermarket! Pasta is ok, but would go to a real Italian restaurant if I was looking for pizza or pasta in the future. I have been here a few times though as I worked just up the road! One nice thing about Pizza Express is that you can see the chef at work if you have a table on the ground floor. I found that there is less of an atmosphere downstairs in this restaurant.
Pizza Express – BathGood service when we arrived, but the waitresses seemed rude and a bit 'off'. To be honest I don't think they could really understand what we were trying to say - many of them were not English. The restaurant itself was very nice. Modern, but cosy with an open fire. Food was nice. Would visit Strada again.
Strada – BathLovely restaurant. Very authentic. Great food if you like it spicy. Lovely in summer when you can sit outside.
Las Iguanas – BathThai Balcony is a fab restaurant! I have been there 3 times and every time I have had a wonderful meal. The service is excellent and the restaurant is very authentic. Would definitely recommend.
Thai Balcony – BathReally good, authentic thai food. Would recommend the Gado gado, tom yum hed soup and aubergine salad for vegetarians. Great green curry (chicken and tofu). Have visited several times and never been disappointed. Friendly service, good wine list and great value lunch special (~£6 for 2 courses ).
Thai Classic – CliftonAs Im in the trade eating out can be an ordeal Mike, Jackie and the girls make you feel welcome, you are not waiting forever for the food.
Ploughboy The – WellsLovely country pub/restaurant with a great atmosphere. Cosy with an open fire. Lovely food - delicious! Reasonable prices.
The Bell Inn at Buckland Dinham – FromeHave only eaten here at lunch time. Food is delicious and they have a great set menu for a bargain price. Service is very good. The restaurant itself is very nice, very big with beautiful high ceilings.
Eastern Eye – BathThe family four returned to the Sheppey, for quick bite and, to see how things were going, True to there word the owners were busy gutting the interior and, making things anew, if it? as good as the outside arrangement, were going to be well pleased, the place was obviously closed for midweek dining. But we shall be true to our word, and return to see the finished article, in a few weeks time, can? wait best of luck.
