Cosies Wine Bar – Bristol City CentreHad a very nice meal with my family. Excellent quality of food that you could tell was freshly prepared and very friendly service from the three girls. As it was my boyfriends birthday they went out of their way to provide balloons for the table which was a nice touch. Once we had finished in the restaurant we hit the tables and had a really good time. Having the tables and machines next to the restaurant makes for a very different evening.
Grosvenor Casino Bristol – Bristol City CentreThis restaurant is fantastic, an Italian restaurant with a genuine Italian atmosphere. The food was also very similar to that in Italy, as I had just visited previously. Friendly service, lovely food and a brilliant evening thank you all at La Passione
La Passione – KingswoodAlthough it is better to experience real Thai food in the evening at the old bakehouse, the daytime food is of the equally outstanding quality. By day it is a busy, very atmospheric coffee shop/ restaurant, with very friendly and excellent service and it also has the food to go with it. You cant really express the word for it other than try it for yourself. I must inform you though, that it is advisable that you book a table, as it is very popular and quite usually fully booked.
Old Bakehouse The – Castle CaryTasty Thai cuisine, brilliant friendly service, authentic interior and a fantastic chef!!! Definitely worth a visit!!!!
Lotus Flower – TauntonHave been to this restaurant several times and never fails to impress. The food is excellent though rustic which is part of the charm. Portions are generous and it is a struggle to do three courses but of course we did and the sweets were fab. Authentic ambiance adds to the dining experience. Yep we will be returning!
Old Mexican The – TauntonHad a lovely meal in this cosy and chilled cafe / bistro with it's friendly and welcoming staff making the experience that bit more enjoyable. Food was tasty, colourful and generous in size. The house red was good and when the bill came was impressed that it was very reasonable. Have already been back!
Ocean Cafe – CliftonWent here on a visit when I was over from NI. Met Andy, Magda and Steve, had a ball. Great time thanks
Central Bar – BathA beautiful location by the river. The food was really tasty and the service very friendly.
Bathampton Mill – BathThe place is brill especially now the old manager has gone...!!
The Windsor Castle – Weston Super MareFood was very very good and I have to say exciting and full of surprises! Wine list was great and we had 2 of the more expensive wines, pudding wines, cheese and coffee so this inflated the bill to around £75 per head. However would be possible to pay far less with easy and have a good amount of wine if more sensible in your choices. However you may find it hard to resist. Don't be put off by the address as some people may be, it really is worth a visit, it is one of the best meals I have had.
Bells Diner – Bristol City CentreGood food, good wine, great service.
Piggy In The Middle – MineheadThe food was fresh and the menu had a good variety of food, carvery excellent value. Worth breaking your journey on the A36 to eat there
The Bell Inn at Standerwick – FromeWe stumbled across The Bell Inn purely by accident after a visit to the Bath & Wells showground. In this area it seems unusual to find a pub that will serve a Sunday roast after 3pm! Luckily, The Bell serves food all & every day. We were pleasantly surprised at both the cost (£6.20 for a full roast with all the trimmings) and the high quality and quantity of the food. On discovering the local cider "Hecks", we decided to make the most of out visit and stay in the B&B above the pub. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast was a combination of Scottish & Yorkshire classics - a perfect fry up. I would strongly recommend The Bell Inn to anybody that is looking for good food, good wine and somewhere to stay in North Somerset.
Bell Inn, The – Shepton MalletWe went to their Arabian nights party night and had an absolute ball! The food was great and the dancer was simply fantastic! She is the best we have seen and we lived in Cairo for 15 years! The whole evening was gorgeous and we will be back---my wife is chasing the lovely dancer for tuition, even though she lives in London!
Sands Restaurant – CliftonGood food, but the sitting area is a little cramped and too bright, if your looking for a romantic meal for two.
Thai Classic – CliftonFood was very good. The cavern style interior is ideal for romantic meals for two.
Sands Restaurant – CliftonI have heard a lot about this restaurant and was not disappointed when I got there. I had the half chicken with herbed new potatoes, it was delicious. The deserts were also to the same very high standard I would recommend this place to anyone if you want something a little different. The only thing I will say, due to its open plan layout there is a breeze from the windows and doors so wear a jumper!
Firehouse Rotisserie – BathScrumptious Cream Tea, £20pp. Add a bottle of Prosecco for £20. Pre-booking required.
