What a wonderful tasty meal at the Olive tree. Celebrating a friends birthday with lunch. Even though the coffee machine was being fixed they made a French Press version. The beetroot brownie was divine! Friendly and helpful. Beautiful decor and comfy seats for those of us with chronic back ache! Highly recommend and will be back when in the area!

A return visit to the best restaurant in Wells. Lovely laid back atmosphere and attentive friendly service. Gazpacho was my highlight; perfectly presented and the taste of summer.

Good food, basic menu with couple of specials, but really good and really enjoyed. Friendly staff, and such a lovely, quiet little campsite, will be back!

The Mason's Arms is the quintessential British pub: it serves great food and beer, is dog friendly, and the staff are some of the friendliest and most professional in the business! We've eaten here a LOT, coming here as a couple on numerous occasions, for Sunday lunch with family, and taking over a whole room for a 20-person evening celebration. Friends have stayed in the rooms here, with another couple bringing their motorhome to the campsite. EVERYONE we know who's been here has loved it and we've can't recommend the Mason's Arms highly enough!

Magnificent lunch for three, fantastic value, excellent flavours and tastes.

The Olive Tree was recommended to us for our weekend in Wells and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent, I especially enjoyed the scallop starter. The service was also excellent - thank you Leto!

First visit to Goodfellows at 7B. We'd been to its previous premises in the town centre some time ago. Despite being a Friday it wasn't full but this venue's quite abit larger than before. The food remains excellent and the service is good but we did think, once we'd ordered, all the courses came too quickly and we weren't allowed to relax, enjoy the wine and chat. It all felt alittle rushed. Unsure if the kitchen being part of the ground floor dining room works in this particular setting. We appreciate it's because the chef/patron Adam Fellows holds cooking demos and it's a nice place to do so. But it didn't add to the ambience or the intimacy of the place which we appreciated at its old venue. One big plus is no loud intrusive music!

Great food, service and atmosphere.

My wife and were visiting Wells for the week and booked the Olive Tree for Sunday lunch. I’m not a great lover of a Sunday lunch but she is but we were not let down. My wife goes the best roast dinner in the world but this came very close to matching it. I had the belly pork which was out of this world. My wife had roast beef but when it came it was a little red which she doesn’t like but the staff took it away and replaced it with beef that was to her liking. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. One of the best roast dinners I have ever had. Lovely restaurant with good ambiance and very friendly staff.

We went for a birthday lunch and it was absolutely fabulous. Great service, a glass of bubbly was provided to help the celebration. The hosts were friendly polite and attentive but not intrusive. The food was superb. The chocolate cherry dessert with heavenly chocolate ice cream will be remembered. The setting was lovely. We will definitely return.

Excellent, as always

When You first walk through the door you are greeted by a cosy Dining room and friendly staff. To start you are given complimentary bread which is a lovely surprise, The olive focaccia is amazing. The Menu is a condensed menu that packs a lot of flavour. I had the Gazpazo to start with the crab and there is in my opinion no better way to start a meal. The main I had the selection of seafood which I would highly recommend as a main course, really flavourful and excellently cooked. This restaurant is a must-go when in wells
