Goodfellows at 7B – WellsI booked lunch for myself and my American clients and we were all wowed by the food and the atmosphere. The whole experience was like dining in a high-end central London restaurant in the evening. Absolutely amazing and highly recommended. Thank you.
Goodfellows at 7B – WellsThoroughly enjoyed our early dinner before going on to a concert in the cathedral. Very attractive and tasty plates of food. Particularly enjoyed the sea bass with roasted vegetables while my husband loved the duck. Very comfortable, welcoming smiles and greetings. Will return.
Goodfellows at 7B – WellsWe visited for a weekday lunch. Excellent food, location, service and atmosphere. Very comfortable chairs.
The Olive Tree Restaurant – WellsHave been many times to the former location and now to 7B. This evening visit was with visiting friends and we all enjoyed the usual high standards of welcome, service, food and wine. My started was gazpacho with crayfish, on the menu for the first time this year, delicious and skate (two of us) and bass to follow, with lovely Loire white. One of my visitors who is unusually allergic to lupin (!) was very impressed with the care to ensuring there was none. Not cheap but all worth every penny and pound. Will remain a favourite. Must book.
Goodfellows at 7B – WellsEvery time I visit, I am able to commend the excellent service and quality of food. All that surprises me is that you do not have a Michelin "Bib Gourmand" award - it would be well deserved. This was our first Sunday lunch with you and it was to your normal standard, thank you.
The Olive Tree Restaurant – WellsExcellent Sunday lunch. Great staff and delicious food- highly recommend!
The Olive Tree Restaurant – WellsOur recent dinner at Goodfellows was lovely, and just right for a birthday celebration. We enjoyed a Kir Royale as an aperitif. The starters of French sausage and crab were tasty and the mains of duck confit were both succulent and substantial., and were complemented by a glass of smooth merlot. Desserts of chocolate and walnut tart and afogato rounded off the meal nicely.
Goodfellows at 7B – WellsCharming ‘at home’ restaurant. One of the best in Wells.
Goodfellows at 7B – WellsI had a lovely evening at The Olive Tree in Wells. As a long-term vegan, I have eaten at a lot of restaurants that have vegan options but they don't often make me feel that I really want to go back but I will definitely go back to The Olive Tree. I can't believe that I actually ate THREE courses! That's unheard of for me but I thought my dishes were so good that I didn't want to miss out. My only request would be, please consider offering more than vegan option for each course as it would be great to come back and be able to try different dishes - you are clearly really good at them. Thank you for cooking such tasty, beautifully-presented and internationally-inspired food.
The Olive Tree Restaurant – WellsI am a regular customer at the Olive Tree, Wells. Food is always excellent. Service is down to earth and friendly. All brilliant
The Olive Tree Restaurant – WellsOur lunch at The Olive Tree was excellent in all aspects: service, atmosphere and food. My wife loved the beetroot salmon for starter and the ling for main course. I selected the daily specials: the pancetta terrine for first course and scallops for main course. We shared the chocolate tart with ice cream. Everything was very tasty.
The Olive Tree Restaurant – WellsWe booked Goodfellows after a family member recommended it, and we weren’t disappointed. The food place is lovely, intimate but not pretentious and the staff are super friendly. We had a lovely meal with a few glasses of wine and can’t wait to go back. The tuna sashimi is exceptional as is the steak and the duck. Thank you so much!
Goodfellows at 7B – WellsSimply delicious from start to finish. Wonderful flavours and beautifully presented. A very warm welcome on arrival and lovely service throughout. A lovely evening and we hope to return.
Goodfellows at 7B – WellsA lovely gem in the heart of Wells. This was the 2nd time we'd been here for lunch and were not disappointed. Between us we had the chicken Kiev and the special of the day, skate wing. Both were excellent, well cooked and presented. For pud we had the brioche butter pudding with marmalade ice cream and lemon panna cotta with date puré and mixed fruits - delicious! Wine can be ordered by the glass and the non alcoholic choice is also good. We've booked to come back in the evening and I'm sure the ambience of this little place will provide a cosy atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and if you want to give it a try, make sure you book as it's popular! Wells is a growing foodie hub and this lovely restaurant holds it's own amongst them.
The Olive Tree Restaurant – WellsWe have eaten here a number of times and the food and service has always been great.
