We had a very enjoyable evening meal on Friday night. Sat in the open kitchen area, it was nice to see the chefs at work. Service was good, we were advised that there might be a slight delay with food, but the wait was not too long. The food when it arrived was presented well and tasted very nice. We had three courses each. There was a good selection of each courses.

Food good and value for money. Service ok provided you ask to order your food rather than waiting to be asked. Problem with the restaurant is the space available, sitting in front of where the food is being cooked is not conducive to a good atmosphere (the reason I stopped going to this restaurant when it was Goodfellows). I suggest diners are made aware of where they will be placed when making a reservation. Upstairs could be a better option for the proprietors.

Went to Goodfellows Saturday night for an early dinner during a wknd away in the area. Lovely restaurant, very friendly and accommodating of us with a baby. We had the seafood tasting menu, so delicious, all beautifully fresh and well presented.

A1 as always. Easily the best food in the local area and great service as usual.

We had an amazing meal on Friday and I can't thank Adam and his team enough for catering for my onion intolerance so superbly. We opted for the seafood taster menu and every dish was tailored to my needs. The food was delicious, presentation fantastic and we were looked after brilliantly. Love coming here!

A visit to Goodfellows is always a treat and tonight we were not disappointed. We enjoyed a tuna carpaccio starter and then main courses of both halibut and also a selection of fish all cooked to perfection, with divine sauces and vegetable selection. Attentive table service but not intrusive. We were pleased to have a courtyard table on this sunny evening. Incredible value and a shining culinary star in Wells and the South West. Can’t wait to come again.

We had dinner at Goodfellows on 6/8. A really enjoyable meal. We went with the fish options for starters and main course. I had the sea bass and my wife had the halibut, both of which were excellent. The puddings looked great, but we had room only for coffee! The service was friendly and professional. All-in-all, it was a very pleasant evening during our short stay in Wells.

Booked a table here for lunch as we were visiting Wells. Very pleased as the food was excellent at reasonable prices and the service was friendly and efficient.
