We had an exceptional meal at Goodfellows. One of the best for a long time.

You were recommended and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent. Such a good idea to have a limited menu done very well. We enjoyed watching the chefs behind the bar preparing the dishes. The house white wine was lovely and we enjoyed trying out our French! Thank you for a great experience.

I have a friend who loves seafood and I know that to bring her to Goodfellows is always a safe bet and a real treat. The food is consistently good and beautifully presented and the reception we receive is always friendly and courteous.

What a fabulous way to celebrate a special occasion. Fabulously friendly yet an appropriate level of formality with space for privacy. Beautifully presented delicious food.

One of the best meals we have ever eaten. It was at least three years since we were last in Goodfellows, so we did not really know what to expect. What we got was absolutely delightful - efficient and very friendly service and terrific quality food. We enjoyed the seafood tasting menu together with the wine flight - it was a special occasion - and everything exceeded expectations. A memorable evening.

Our first visit to Wells and to Goodfellows. Both the food and service were excellent. We had the tasting menu and were really impressed. Dishes were well balanced and beautifully presented. It was a real gastro treat. We thought it was amazing value for such a high quality dining experience and would recommend Goodfellows without hesitation.

We had a wonderful meal at Goodfellows in Friday 25th February 2022. The food was excellent and of a standard deserving of a Michelin star we both felt. Having eaten at the one starred Artichoke In Old Amersham on several occasions, it was comparable. The service was impeccable yet friendly. Thoroughly recommended!

Excellent food. The best duck I have ever tasted.

Food and service have always been excellent and latest visit was no exception. Had the fish cake starter and then the confit of duck. Both very tasty and highly recommended. Will definitely eat here again, and again and again.

Visited this restaurant for the first time - excellent quality of food and service. We both had hake served on a bed of beetroot infused risotto as our main course. The quality of cooking was exemplary. Would recommend this restaurant without hesitation.

We love Goodfellows and it is always a very special experience having a meal at the restaurant. We had a family dinner on Friday, 17th February, and the food was fabulous. The flavours and the presentation are great, and this was equally matched by very friendly and attentive service!

A top notch Sunday lunch…. My tuna carpaccio starter - delicious as was the hot smoked salmon tartlets and Brixam crab and smoked salmon parcel. Main course, took things to a higher level again, the rump of lamb with Puy lentils spiced to perfection was outstanding.
