Really lovely intimate setting, very welcoming attentative staff. The food was absolutely delicious, we went for the 5 course tasting menu and each course that came out was amazing. Our favourite was the sea bass and venison and the dessert really completed the meal and was light and moreish. We would definitely recommend

A most excellent meal. The setting is relaxed and intimate. Adam specialises in fish dishes but today I plumped for the chicken breast. Probably the best chicken I’ve eaten and the dauphinois potatoes were sublime. We will certainly return.

The sea bass was absolutely delicious, my partner loved the scallops and the whole experience was a treat. We really enjoyed the evening. An innovative, adventurous move from their previous home in Sadler St. We are so glad Goodfellows has reopened.

Great little find, we weren't disappointed! Enjoyed our starter of scallops, apple and black pudding it was perfectly cooked, very tasty and presented beautifully! Small menu, but you'd struggle not to find something to please your tastebuds, perfectly selected choice and everything beautifully cooked! Thank you for a wonderful meal x

Stunning. Almost don't want to write too much so that you can rock up and have your own fab experience here. Food was lovely. Staff were excellently well versed in front of house. Lovely layout inside. Very comfy chairs for tired shopping experts. Value for money I think was brilliant. Thanks very much.

Booked a table after reading reviews online. We weren’t disappointed. The food, service and atmosphere was superb. The menu was seasonal with 2 choices of meat dishes, 2 fish and 2 vegetarian. The restaurant wasn’t busy however tables were booked and customers didn’t turn up. This also was a Thursday evening in February so not a busy evening anywhere in Wells. We both had the scallops, which were cooked to perfection. My husband had the duck which he said was the best duck he had ever eaten. I had pork, again cooked very well and just the right size portions. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and if we lived locally would come regularly.

We had a lovely meal here, everything was perfect, the setting, the staff and the food. I'm vegetarian, and the choice was really inventive. My husband loved the fish, especially the seabass. It was such a lovely evening, would definitely recommend.

We visited here Saturday lunch time on a weekend away to Wells. We were so impressed with the food and also the service. The staff are really welcoming and food is excellent. We will be making a return visit as really enjoyed it.

Dinner Friday evening was a birthday treat for my friend, and I can only give top marks for food, atmosphere and friendly but unobtrusive staff. It was a delightful experience.

Four of us at lunch yesterday 16/02/23 . An excellent meal, beautifully cooked - the Moules to start were especially perfect! Super choice on the lunch menu and very good value for money. Our first visit to this new restaurant:. we were not disappointed and will certainly be returning.

What a lovely little gem in the centre of Wells! We had a superb meal together a couple of nights ago and are already planning a return with family members and friends. We couldn't fault the food - you can tell the chef knows his stuff! Presentation incredible and a lovely atmosphere. Staff couldn't be more attentive and chatty - thanks for a brilliant evening!
