Went for a farewell drink for a colleague from Marlow Youth football club there today (Sunday) and quite shocked by the rudeness of the landlady. Empty when we arrived and had spent several hundred pounds by the time the bar suddenly filled with young drinkers at 11.30pm. Despite no signs landlady said we had to clear pub for private party. 20 minutes later we were threatened with being barred unless we left immediately. When we complained she sent several young men to threaten us. Not somewhere to go for more than a quick drink. Threatening and unpleasant. Marlow Donkey and other views far more accommodating.

Stopped in here one afternoon in June 2012 for lunch with a friend and our dogs. Lovely, friendly staff. Great to find a local pub that's dog friendly, traditional, in a pretty location and serves up great food too. Thought prices were very reasonable and some nice soft drink options available for those of us who don't want alcohol!

Don't honour their deals. Waitresses friendly and all seemed to be going well, until we tried to use a "free dessert with every main course" voucher we printed from the web site. Despite checking before ordering that is was valid, when we tried to redeem the voucher, we were told it was only valid for one dessert, not one each. Very stroppy and defensive "manager" refused to honour the voucher, despite our £70 custom that time and the plan to visit again on numerous occasions. We won't be going there again.

Since the re-opening in December last year this pub has really turned around. The whole decor and amibience of the place is beautiful. The food is fantastic and the service was friendly and helpful. Ive now become a regular there and would definitely recomment this restaurant.

Poor! First visit a couple days ago. As I walked in, the two women were nattering away to each other in Chinese. She simply nodded at me and continued her conversation without asking me what I'd like. There was no interest in what i had to say. No eye contact. Portion sizes were that of a child. The worst part being, when she asked whether I want salt and vinegar (Well she didn't ask, she said "You want") She did so AS she was already putting it on! Easy to assume I DON'T have salt on my chips. Instead of mentioning this, I simply walked out. I can safely say I won't be going back.

A group of just over 15 of us who were aged 17-18 booked a table at the Bell on a Monday night for 6:30. After arriving and being seated all of us were immediately asked to provide ID before any food or drink was ordered. I would like to add that not a single 18 year old bought any alcohol throughout the evening. After this we were then told by the waitress that we were only allowed to purchase a meal and two drinks each before we had to leave, which seemed unreasonable. 4 members of the party arrived late (8 o’clock), ordered food by 8:30 and received their food by 8:40. At quarter to nine we were abruptly told by a waitress (and I quote), “you need to leave by 9 o’clock, so eat up”. At 9, when they sent the barman who had not been serving us to ask us to leave, we politely asked why we had to leave by 9. He said that it was pub policy to not allow under 18’s on the premises after nine o’clock. We asked him if there was any signage in the pub that showed this policy, to which he replies yes, but when he returned he said he could not find it. One member of our party asked if we could talk to the manger and the barman went to get him. We explained to the manager that we accepted that the pub may have a policy of not admitting under 18’s after 9 but we added that we felt it was unfair that we were told at such short notice and that this policy was not clearly displayed. We were not a disruptive or rowdy group and we were not causing any trouble and we feel that we have been treated in both a patronising and unfair manner. Our group had spent a considerable amount that evening that must have accounted for a good amount of the pubs income that evening as it was by no means busy. One of us asked for the head office of Weatherpersons number and will be lodging a formal complaint.

For a relaxing meal in a great atmosphere you must visit Rucola. The food is excellent and will even make something different for kids - my 4 yr old wanted spaghetti and olives! Recommend; lobster spaghetti, grilled sea bass, king prawns in garlic, veal chops. Then if that's no enough there is a sweet trolley to die for. The staff are excellent and attentive. Visit lunch or evening you won't be disappointed.

Absolutely delicious. I visited this restaurant after receiving a menu through the post. Normally i ignore these, but this menu was just so beautifully presented i was tempted in to visiting. As I didn't wan’t a big meal i ordered two starters: Chicken pakora and somosa's. And my god, the heavenly tastes in my mouth just told me to order a main. I ordered my favourite curry, chicken Dhansak and I can honestly say I have never tasted a Dhansak like this. My mouths just watering writing about it!I must comment on the décor as well!!. The pink wallpaper and the black wallpaper is just so pretty. I think I may just have to steal the colour scheme and design for my own house. And if I could put a tropical fish tank in the middle just as the owner did, I would do the same.I think this restaurant has gained a new regular – a table by the stunning fish tank please ;)

Visited last night. Very upset with meal. The calamari starter was uncooked. The main meals were served on COLD plates, the spinach was raw and the peas cold and like bullets. This is the 6th time we have been there and the meals have progressively got worse after a great first visit. I do not think I will be returning.
