Excellent in every way yet again!
The Old Courthouse – CaernarfonThoroughly enjoyed our meal. Great service and superb food. Settings is fresh, bright and airy. Visited Friday evening, booked again for Sunday evening. 5 star.
The Old Courthouse – CaernarfonBoth my husband & I thoroughly enjoyed our meals last Saturday night. The dining room is amazing & has been refurbished to a high standard. We had the sea bream & chicken followed by the sticky toffee pudding. Excellent service & great food, will definitely visit again.
The Old Courthouse – CaernarfonHad a lovely evening again at The Old Courthouse. Great venue, great food, great music, great atmosphere...cant wait to visit again!!!!.
The Old Courthouse – CaernarfonFood was excellent, especially the sea bream main course. Jazz musicians were playing. Very enjoyable.
The Old Courthouse – CaernarfonWe were a group of 12 and everyone loved their meals. The food was absolutely delicious. Moira was wonderful, from the first email contact throughout the booking process to a warm welcome and even a tour of the theatre which was the perfect end to a great evening. Thank you!
The Old Courthouse – CaernarfonWe had a wonderful meal at The Courthouse - delicious food, cooked beautifully and we were so impressed with the level of care and attention given to our family of 6. The children were looked after really well and the portions of food on the children’s menu were very generous indeed. The fish and lamb were also cooked to perfection, and the desserts were divine. The Courtyard is a beautifully restored restaurant in a stunning building opposite the castle - a real gem for foodies and families looking to find somewhere a little different to eat out whilst in Caernarfon. We will certainly return when next in the area, and hope that the theatre may also be open that time too - the renovation of this space was done to such a high spec that we would have gladly stayed to watch a performance that evening too if one had been on!
The Old Courthouse – CaernarfonLovely perfectly cooked and well presented food. The salad starter was very generous .Everyone in our group chose a different starter and enjoyed them ,also their mains. My only criticism would be perhaps having to pay extra for sides with the main meal. It is always very difficult to know how many sides to order when you are in a group. The Old Courthouse is a grade 1 listed building and the owners have put in a great deal of thought and effort to transform it into an excellent venue for diners to enjoy a nice meal.
The Old Courthouse – CaernarfonA great overall restaurant. Good for families as well as it has a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. The staff are really helpful and curteous to customers. The food is of very high standard and supports local produce. Home made recipes. Very good portion sizes of meals and excellent value for money. Overall wonderful place to visit.
Black Boy Inn – CaernarfonThe food here is of high standard. They supports local produce. Very relaxed environment for all types of customers. Good portions, great value for money.
Glyntwrog Inn – CaernarfonFinest Fish and Chips in the whole area, great staff, lovely and clean, eat in or out, its worth going there...
Ainsworth Fish and Chip Shop – Caernarfongood food good service *****
Penygroes Tandoori – CaernarfonWe have eaten at Gors Bach 4 times and always found the food to be excellent if a little expensive. The service is professional and discreet. However, the ambiance of the converted pub could be improved with better acoustics.. The main part is a large open area with a mezzanine floor. There are large areas of bare woodwork and the acoustics are a major problem. Although some curtains have now been installed it's difficult to hold a conversation when the place is busy. Try to book a table in the conservatory if possible, especially in the summer. In fine weather the views of Snowdonia are stunning!
Gors Bach Inn – CaernarfonThis small guest house between mountains and sea in the countryside on the edge of Snowdonia National Park has been awarded five stars by Visit Wales, and has won many awards, and been reviewed cordially in many British newspapers, journals and guides. It offers first-rate accommodation in cultured and tasteful surroundings (lots of books, paintings by contemporary Welsh artists, a Bechstein grand piano, antique and modern furniture, slate or wooden floors, beams, etc.) A delicious Welsh breakfast is served, freshly cooked on the Aga, using fresh, local produce, some of it organic, and some from the kitchen garden. Dinner is served by arrangement only (it must be booked beforehand). Food is down-to-earth, honest and full of flair: one might start with roast peppers Piedmontese (based on an Elizabeth David recipe), go on to a navarin of Welsh lamb with garden vegetables, followed by artiscan Welsh cheeses with homemade biscuits, with pears poached in red wine for pudding. There has been copious praise for the homemade organic brown bread. The welcome is personal, warm and very Welsh.
Y Goeden Eirin – CaernarfonI was extremely disappointed with the service we received at this restaurant. The staff were unpleasant as soon as they found out half of our party were due to arrive 15 minutes later, and refused to reserve space next to our table, despite clearly not being fully booked. They glowered as we ordered our food, and would not permit us to finish our drinks once the bill had been paid, claiming a booking, despite the restaurant being half empty. Our respectfully phrased complaints following the meal were dismissed by the manager. The food was tasty, shame about the service. We are regular visitors to Llanberis, but will not be visiting 'Spice' again.
Spice of Llanberis – CaernarfonNice restaurant ,friendly service and the usual Indian menu.If you are staying in LLanberis and you fancy an Indian well i don't think you need to go further than this place
