King William IV – RoystonWe have been trying many different pubs in the area for a Sunday lunch and this is the place we always come back to as it always provides the best and most consistent food. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive and the pub itself has that perfect atmosphere you would hope from an English village pub.
King William IV – RoystonMe and my wife had a wonderful belated Valentines lunch. Service and food was excellent. Can't wait for Sunday week to go back and try there Sunday lunch.
King William IV – RoystonPub has a nice feel. Having board games to play was great for the children. Staff were attentive checking on whether we need more drinks and so on. The food was a mix of yummy and disappointing. Pies were delicious-one of the best I have eaten. I was however waiting for my seasonal veg ( had assumed it would come in dishes) which turned out to be the strange mix of very pale cabbage and carrot on the plate with chips. Steak came with 2 grey new potatoes and a few green beans and was quite expensive for what was there. Fish and chips -no peas -no greens and my husband had 14 chips. The food that was presented tasted nice enough however much improvement could have been made. We did have a lovely evening though -I am not dwelling on the value
King William IV – RoystonValentines Shambles Do Not Make This Mistake Booked a room and meal for Valentines evening. What a disaster! Room had not been booked by the staff Stater was an hour late Service was disorganised and unprofessional Main corse arrived 45 mins after starter, steak was stone cold. Then had to wait 30 mins for another steak whilst my wife eat her meal. Drinks took forever to arrive Not offered any desserts Voiced dissatisfaction with Carole wh was stoney faced and not interested . Such a poker face and bad attitude terrible front of house from the business owner. Does not care about the customers or guests. Will never go back or recommend to anyone. Completely ruined Valentines evening. Shockingly unapologetic management.
King William IV – RoystonLovely cosy pub in Heydon. Delicious food and attentive service! Would highly recommend.
King William IV – RoystonFood, welcome and atmosphere great. We had been very frequent customers pre-covid, so it was so nice to see The King William IV still up-and-running.
King William IV – RoystonReally good friendly service (Danielle) great food and great care taken with members of our party with special requirements.
King William IV – RoystonA very good meal in a very attractive setting with excellent service.
King William IV – RoystonEntertainment was fabulous , food was very disappointing I had a the sea bass which could have had something green to go with it just swimming in a load of sauce my husband had the venison which he really didn’t enjoy my sister had a steak and was shocked how it was served again nothing green or salad just 3 potatoes rolling around on the plate ! The service wasn’t great either soup came without spoon when asked for one was given a dessert spoon, twice asked for a drink and it didn’t come m, my friend only drinks Prosecco and after the free one she couldn’t have anymore as apparently you had ran out !! We used to frequent this pub for. Years bus sadly it just wasn’t the same place awful lighting cobwebs everywhere just not the same cozy clean gorgous country pub it was, probably won’t rerun unless decor and food improves greatly.
King William IV – RoystonWent for the King William Anniversary party .. cracking night with a proper pub atmosphere Good food and great service
King William IV – RoystonReally lovely pub, lots of character and lovely open fire. Very friendly staff. Food was great too and local pink Gin(Jake’s) was fabulous. As was the v Brandy. We stayed in the accommodation which was fresh and comfortable. Great shower as well. Overall very pleasant and would recommend to anyone who loves traditional pubs.
King William IV – RoystonA great, early Christmas get together with friends at the King William yesterday. The staff couldn't have been more helpful or accommodating and the food was great at very reasonable prices. My husband and I have visited before but this was the first time for our company and everyone left happy. We'll definitely be back
King William IV – RoystonExcellent food. Friendly and very efficient staff, and didn’t rush when we were being indecisive or chatting! Exceptionally dog friendly! Highly recommended
King William IV – RoystonWe went for Sunday lunch. One of us had toast beef and I had toast lamb. Really delicious . The dessert was exceptional. I had the Clementine cheesecake this was made on the premises and was truly wonderful , served with a Clementine sorbet superb! Only comment was the big of creme sunglass with the sticky toffee pudding was too small. Service was lovely too. We will go back very soon
King William IV – RoystonPerfect!
