Perfect halfway location for a family get together. Good quality Sunday Lunch, excellent friendly and attentive staff.

Over 25 years, my wife and family and friends have been coming to the Pheasant, they’ve never disappointed and always had outstanding service and delicious food – the dinner on Saturday was no exception. The black pudding starter was absolutely delicious, the goodly sized hake portion was expertly cooked, the risotto was a perfect consistency and delicious and the mussels cooked as they should be, accompanied by a goodly portion of chunky and crispy chips.

Lovely location and beautiful building. The staff where friendly promptly and the food was excellent. We where their with three small children and they kids food was also excellent and we where made to feel very welcome.

Our first meal at the Pheasant. Everything was perfect, from the welcome, the ambiance the exquisite food, and the wonderful service, we couldn't fault it. Can't wait to dine in the gorgeous outdoor area in the summer.

We had an excellent Sunday lunch, great food, service and atmosphere, pity they don't serve Guinness! Will certainly be a regular diner.

We hadn't been for a Sunday lunch before and boy have we missed out! From arrival throughout the whole service the staff were all exceptional never rushing us at all. The menu choice was really good and we opted for the 3 courses. The food was fantastic full of flavour and quality was just right for all courses. We will certainly be back for Sunday lunch again Thank you team Pheasant.

Very tasty freshly cooked Sunday lunch. A shame that a couple of popular choices on the menu had all gone by the time we ordered - our table was booked for 2.30. We’ll book an earlier sitting in future.

Good food. My husband had the steak he said was one of the best he had. Service was average. Expected more from the atmosphere and restaurant areas as still shows old photos online. Was an average restaurant area nothing special. Service was ok.

Lovely friendly service, extensive menu ,the set menu at lunchtime is very good value and the food was fabulous .

A really good Saturday lunch for 3 yesterday at the Pheasant. The food was interesting (something for all tastes we thought), well prepared, and well presented. Service was very friendly but discreet. Wine list comprehensive and excellent (as many times previously). The restaurant didn't put a foot wrong so nothing negative to report.......

First visit last weekend and really impressed by the food and timely and attentive service. Great choice of drinks (beers & Spirits) and Hendricks served correctly with cucumber. Looking forward to returning soon.
