Simpsons of Cheltenham – CheltenhamWe recently visited the place they call Indian Lounge. At first things weren't so bad just a normal restaurant but after a while we found out that they use the same gravy for all their curries and just add chicken or lamb to the sauce. They have mislead us by saying they take such care preparing our food.
India Lounge – CheltenhamWe visited the Golden Mountain on Saturday 18th February 2011, and we were bowled over with the buffet, the tastes of all the foods we ordered were fantastic, lovely and hot as well and with fantastic service all round, we had a great food fest.My only complaint were the price of drinks, you expect to pay a little more in restaurants , but to be charged £2.67 for a small glass of coke, not a pint but a small glass I find the price excessive and profiteering on a massive scale. We were charged £14.00 for four small cokes and a pint of lager.
Golden Mountain – CheltenhamPepper Crescent is my favourite place for daytime eating in Cheltenham! The food is great and well priced, decoration is very funky and the staff are really friendly. It's a bit of a hidden gem!
Pepper Crescent – Cheltenham10/10-good food, great cocktails, fantastic service!
Chiquito Restaurant and Bar – Cheltenhammy daughter has been violently ill after having a meal at this restaurant....she had chicken Jalfrezi.
Kashmir Restaurant – CheltenhamFantastic new restaurant which offers something really different from the norm in cheltenham, amazing value and a faultless night out.
Bistrot Coco – Cheltenhamhad a great meal there on the 10th April 2010, food was excellent, servce was exceptional and environment perfect for a lovely evening. Great value for money and will be going back soon.
Thai Brasserie – CheltenhamI went to Coco bistro on Friday night, and as a French lady, the only word that i can use to describe the food at Coco is 'insulting'. I have never been so disappointed after reading reviews on here saying how great it is.. The jug of white wine tasted as if water was added, the snails were cooked very badly with SPINACH on it, instead of garlic and butter - and the snails must have started frozen and they just tasted of water!! yuck! the duck was under cooked (How is this possible for a confit???) Someone said they can smell Michelin star on an other review... well the only thing i can smell with that comment... is a rat!!! And for a bistro, surly you should have more than six white and six red wines on the menu??? I will never go there again, and if people really believe that this is a true reflection of French cuisine, they are sadly mistaken!!
Bistrot Coco – Cheltenhaman absolutely beautiful hotel and magnificent food with brilliant service to end the pure joy of eating at the greenway. loved every moment and will be returning. :-)
Greenway Hotel & Spa – CheltenhamWe enjoyed a wonderful Saturday evening here. Everything was first class, from the genuine warm welcome to the choice of delicious french food, will definitely be going back again.
Bistrot Coco – CheltenhamWe had a birthday party there and it was fantastic. Great food and fantastic atmosphere. Thank you .
Bistrot Coco – CheltenhamThe best place to eat in style in Cheltenham. The prices are ridiculously low for the kind of service and quality of food. The best .
Bistrot Coco – CheltenhamThis is the best dining venue in Cheltenham by far when one considers what a great value location it is. The food is fine and definitely French at its best. The atmosphere is quirky and has a Parisian touch, the service attentive and one can sense that in the background there is a great chef at work. I can smell Michelin star.
Bistrot Coco – Cheltenhamexcellent food excellent service,it was packed with customers even though we were greeted to a friendly welcoming, the food was the best Indian I've ever had we recommend to any curry lover out there to try this Indian restaurant,we going back with a group of friends.
Rajshahi Indian Restaurant – CheltenhamWe stayed at the Hotel du Vin for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The hotel is in the hip/boutique part of town Montpelier in what I guess is an old regency building. We dined one night and really enjoyed our meals. As the name of the hotel would indicate the wine list is excellent and a weighty tome! I was a bit surprised that a list of bins this vast had a very small/limited food menu to match. However I have absolutely no complaint about the quality. The service was very good also, although no member of staff seemed older than 30 and perhaps the gravitas of age was missing on the front desk. The place has a cool vibe overall and the guests we saw were very much at home in this environment. Overall I'd give it a 7.5/10, well worth a visit to stay and or eat!
Hotel Du Vin and Bistro – CheltenhamWonderful chef and great service - Nice contemporary environment - classy food - top notch, would recommend.
St James Hotel – CheltenhamThis place is fabulous! Its an art deco cinema converted into a restaurant with bar in the upper circle. Takes you back in time but the food is modern British and very good.
