Gorgeous looking new restaurant. Love the colours and the central tree feature. My lunch was excellent and the service matched.

Love this place - brilliant selection of beers and ales from around the world and a brilliant menu. Live music every night is an added bonus, Great addition to Alderley Edge.

The food was very late in coming to the table and was told that the garlicbread had burnt so was having to redo them. We had booked the table 2 weeks prior as it was a birthday celebration with 8 attending. Our waiter was not happy as he told us he had been working all day and was tired. Heonly brought us sixside plates instead of 8 our glasses were not the correct slute for prosecco. We spent £400 that evening in the restaurant but flet that our evening was spoilt by the lack of entusiasm from staff member.

I visited The Drum and Monkey last Friday (30th November) and arrived around tea time slightly before food was being served. The member of staff who welcomed/greeted me must have known I was an outsider as I observed details and picked up some leaflets on the way in; he obviously wanted to create a good impression – which he did – and nothing was false. The welcome I received was what I would have expected VIPs to get. After asking my requirements and getting my drink I was shown to the dining area and relaxed. When food time arrived, I had my basic fish and chips and both the fish and chips were crispy and fresh, and after my meal I went into the bar area and spoke to a few people while finishing off my drink who were friendly. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly all round. As I was leaving I told this member of staff who had welcomed and served me that I had seen the pub on Sugarvine as I guessed he was curious, and I told him I like visiting places as I travel around so take a look at Sugarvine. He was pleased to hear of this and as a result may be expecting a good review on Sugarvine now. It was very a comfortable, good quality pub, with reasonable prices and well worth another visit next time I am down that way again. You don’t have to be a millionaire to experience that VIP treatment.

Great food, outstanding but very friendly service. Tried the summer taster menu and it was fantastic. Will definitely visit again shortly.

Terrible pub. Rude staff especially the landlady. Food was disgusting and overpriced. Don't bother.

Myself and my boyfriend visited this gorgeous restaurant at the end of January (when they had their 50% book on-line sale). We enjoyed a wonderful 2 course meal (we were far too full to savour their deserts). I can thoroughly recommend their chicken livers, they are the best I've tasted for ages. We will be going back that's for sure!!

Gusto Alderley Edge. My friends and i visited Gusto in Alderley Edge, early September for a girls get together. We were all really impressed overall! Food was delicious and the service was on parr. Our lovely waiter was attentive and helpful, and we were greeted by a very friendly, welcoming brunette host. Gusto was clean and modern, and had a buzz about it even though it was early Wednesday evening. As the night grew on the atmosphere was bubbling. My friend had the fish and the rest of us had pizza and pasta, All impressed with the quality of the food, and the prices were reasonable for big, filling portions. The manager was attentive and came and checked everything was okay with our meals, which was reassuring and a nice touch. As the evening drew on the bar filled up nicely so we moved over from the table to the bar, for a glass of champagne after the meal. All in all, will definitely be going back! Atmosphere, staff and food were all top notch. Cassandra Dawn, Cheadle.

Working on the outskirts of alderley I'm lucky enough to be close enough to eat in at Fosters frequently. We can reserve a table and are always greeted with a friendly smile. The food is superb and is washed down nicely with a large mug of tea

Great place for lively family outing during the day and good start to the night out in the evening. Doesn't try to be anything more than it is - a good quality Italian. The best thing about Gusto though is the home delivery menu. Beats Dominos on all counts (including price!).

Went last Saturday night, very busy I think booking is essential on weekends and they rang me up in the morning to check I was coming! Good atmosphere if a bit pretentious. Service ok but waitress quite curt. The food is good but fairly pricey for what it is - the mains are cooked beautifully but you have to choose from a fairly boring range of sides, whereas I would rather be served what the chef thinks goes best. We all ended up having chips! More thought should also be given to the 'dessert selection plate' - although good value for sharing we didn't think the four puddings went particularly well together. Nice place, but I wouldn't rush back.

I've eaten here on a few Wednesday evenings. Good place for girly nights out where you just want to chat, eat well and enjoy the buzz of the place.
