I really enjoy coming to this venue for afternoon tea. We bought a voucher on Groupon and it was well worth what we paid.

My husband and I have been coming to Mere Court for lunch and celebrations for over 15 years. I think that says a lot. They are a friendly bunch and very welcoming. The meal was lovely especially the roast beef. There are special prices for a 2 or 3 course meal which should be stated on the menu. I do wish they would put the heating on instead of oil heaters scattered around the bar and restaurant. Will certainly be back.

Visited Mere Court Hotel last week for afternoon tea.It was fantastic value for money as well as being delicious.The scones were some of the best I’ve tasted for a long time The newly refurbished restaurant was very pleasant creating just the right atmosphere. All the members of staff from the moment you walked through the door were very welcoming and friendly. We received exceptional service from the lady who looked after us in the restaurant.We shall definitely return. A lovely setting.

Had a lovely stay at Mere Court Hotel, and a great evening meal, the best lamb I’ve had!! The breakfast was amazing in the morning too! Thank you for an amazing stay and fresh delicious food!

I booked for six people, the weather was really good, so we asked if possible we will get the service outside, quickly they prepared two tables and service by friendly staff , the food was lovely, so we really had a good time for sure we will book it again.

We had a lovely afternoon tea at The Mere Court Hotel. Every item was super fresh and tasted delicious. The service was fabulous and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel and grounds are beautiful, and we will definitely be returning in the future. Highly recommended.

Lovely stay at Mere Court. Fab room lovely grounds. We had breakfast and dinner. The breakfast was good, lots of choice and tasty. The evening meal however was disappointing. We were told we could mix and match between the A La Carte and the bar menu. We sat in the restaurant but because we chose one item from the bar menu were told we had to move into the bar to eat our meal. The shin beef was nice but the lamb rump was quite tough,peas were dry and though the sauce was lovely there was only a drizzle of it so could have done with more. Service was excellent and all the staff were lovely.

I had a delicious Tea for Two yesterday afternoon. The food was exceptional and the scones were the best I have ever tasted. Staff were very attentive with the service they gave and I recommend Mere Court Hotel for an enjoyable afternoon.

Relaxing environment and delicious food. Staff very friendly and helpful.

The hotel itself is really nice, however, it was one of the coldest nights of the year and there was no heating on they had around 6 plug in radiators throughout the building which gave very little heat. The food itself was edible but not anything special and it’s very difficult to relax and enjoy yourself when you’re sat there freezing especially on what is supposed to be one of the most romantic nights of the year. All in all not a very good night if the heating was not working properly then it would have been nice to have been forewarned because I would have cancelled stayed at home and saved the cost of the night and the £40 taxi fares I
