We booked the table around 4 weeks prior to the day, using the telephone and speaking with a REAL person, who was extremely helpful. The table was booked for Friday the 3rd of May at 12:15. We arrived around 12:00 noon and were greeted by a very nice young Lady, who showed us to our table and offered us the menus. Three of us chose fish and chips, with peas, homemade tartar sauce and bread and butter. Our other friend ordered cheese and onion quiche, with chips and homemade coleslaw. The food arrived really quickly and all four meals within minutes. All the meals were very well presented and were ALL delicious! All four plates were completely empty and we were all full to the brim, noo room for one of the delicious sweets that were on offer. All in all, an excellent lunch in very pleasant surroundings. We will definitely be eating there again and would certainly recommend it to anyone looking to have and enjoyable and delicious meal. *****

I booked a table for 3 for lunch and we were promptly shown to our table. We ordered at the counter and food was brought to our table fairly quickly. The food was tasty and ample portions. We went back for cakes and coffees for dessert. Service was pleasant and helpful. The atmosphere was perfect for friends chatting.

Booked a table for two as a lunch stop whilst visiting the gardens. The cafe was beautifully laid out and the tables set ready for our arrival. We both had the daily quiche with coleslaw, salad and chips and a hot drink. The portion sizes were good and the food quality excellent which represented really good value for money. The staff were very attentive and we were not rushed which all added to a very enjoyable day. We also purchased some cake to take home which was also very nice. I would certainly visit again.

Booked a table for 10 for my mum’s 94th birthday. Visiting Renishaw is an annual ritual on her birthday. Staff had decorated our table with flowers, table decorations and welcome card and banner. It felt really special . Mum was overwhelmed. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Not all lunch food options were available as we had a late lunchtime booking. Recommend booking an earlier time slot. Fully recommend for a special occasion - or just popping in for coffee and cake! The gardens were wonderful too. Thank you to all the staff.

Had a special afternoon tea. It was for a friends birthday, the table looked beautiful, there was a birthday banner, discreetly placed. The food , cakes and Prosecco were really nice. The staff were very attentive. We had a walk round the gardens, which are stunning as the bluebells were all out. A big bonus. My friend really enjoyed her birthday surprise. Highly recommend, will definitely come again. Thankyou Renishall Hall and all the staff.

I had a luxury afternoon tea and it was absolutely delicious, the prosecco was also lovely. The setting in the restaurant is lovely, my table was decorated beautifully. The service was great, lovely efficient and friendly staff. I also went round the gardens, that was so relaxing and peaceful, the gardens looked amazing even though it is still early in the season. Loved every minute, bought for me by my son for my Christmas present and booked on the day it would have been my late husbands birthday, so thoughtful.

Very nice afternoon tea. Lovely little room, table set out nicely. Good selection of finger samdwiches, little quiche and spring roll, scone and little cakes all of a good standard. Reasonably priced for what you get, food is fresh. Would recommend and would visit again. Staff polite and friendly and very apologetic when they got our dietary requirements incorrect. Dietary restrictions This was the only negative of our visit. Booked online and highlighted dietary requirements. Rang the day before our visit to confirm the booking and check they had received our dietary requirements. Unfortunately the food was served and the dietary requirements had been forgotten/overlooked which resulted in the food getting returned

A beautiful table setting for afternoon tea. Food was delicious and staff were smiling and pleasant, although very busy. Extremely correct and efficient at dealing with one guest's allergies. Tiny comment - could have done with a fresh pot of tea, rather than the water just topped up, as the tea was then very weak. That said, a relaxing, delightful afternoon - thank you.

Had a lovely lunch in Rex Whistler room at Renishaw Hall. Very good prices and freshly made meals. Only one slight negative; kitchen not very accommodating when asked to provide crisps instead of chips with the quiche meal! It seemed so simple to do………! Will definitely return- had a lovely visit to Renishaw Hall.

I booked an afternoon tea for 8 to celebrate a friends 40th birthday. Renishaw cafe asked if we’d like the table decorated and on arrival it was beautiful. I’d brought some bits to decorate the table myself and there was no need. The afternoon tea itself was delicious, not just sandwiches but homemade sausage roll and quiche. The sweets were beautiful and the scones were still warm. The service was excellent, the staff couldn’t do enough. I would highly recommend Renishaw cafe to celebrate a special occasion.

Had a really lovely time at Renishaw hall café. Service was excellent, café was clean and tidy and the vegan afternoon tea I had was really well presented and tasted wonderful. I would definitely go back, in fact I have booked for Saturday, with a group of friends.

Lovely afternoon team for my mums 85th birthday. A beautifully laid table and lots of lovely cakes .
