Visited for an early Mother's Day lunch (Sunday was fully booked). Although my reservation online had not been received by the team we were seated immediately despite the cafe being busy. Saturday fish and chips was a rare treat but the ham/cheese paninis were very good too. We were too full for dessert but the cakes looked great. 3 mains and 3 drinks for£40 for freshly prepared food in a nice setting. Good value!

An absolutely appalling experience. The till was not working when we got to the front of the queue. We were kept waiting for about 10 minutes with no apology for the wait. Eventually our order was taken and we went to our reserved table to wait for our meals. After about 30 minutes, we asked if our lunches would take much longer. (We had ordered 2 bruschettas). We were told our orders had not gone through to the kitchen! While we’re waiting yet again, I was offered a free cup of coffee as recompense. I refused so we’re then brought some free chips instead. We did not want these either as neither of us eat chips. By this time, it was nearly an hour since we’d arrived. Our meals arrived within about another five minutes but the order was wrong!! We had ordered 2 hummus bruschettas not one hummus and one tomato. I agreed to eat the tomato one because I was hungry but after the utter fiasco the visit turned out to be, we asked for recompense, perhaps one of the meals for free. Someone finally realised what very poor service we had received and agreed to refund the whole cost of our meals. The cook brought out the refund receipts. Why did no-one from management apologise to us? We felt very let down by a business that is usually well run and provides really good service. The cafe has let itself down badly. I am quite a frequent customer and will try not to let this experience colour my thoughts for the future.

The food was good, as was the atmosphere. We’d booked for 12.30 and queuing time was quite long - the person behind the till seemed to be multitasking. After an enjoyable meal we wanted coffee - and stood in the queue for 25 minutes to be served. It quite spoiled the occasion and almost made us late for the house tour. Renishaw had only opened on 19th and our visit was on 21st, so early teething problems were to be expected, but this was well below the service we had in the past.

Had a lovely Xmas tour around the hall that's was very interesting and informative. Topped off by a superb Xmas lunch. Excellent food would definitely recommend. The gardens are lovely too.

What’s not to like about this little gem of a cafe! Another fabulous visit, this time for a Christmas lunch. We sat in the other little restaurant area today and enjoyed our visit just as much. Excellent food with friendly service even when they are rushed off their feet. I’m a little sad that the cafe is now closed for the season but looking forward to visiting again in the spring.

We visit here often and the food is always freshly cooked and delicious. Great atmosphere and staff are always friendly. My granddaughter loved the breakfast with Santa experience.

Very pleasant experience.

We came for breakfast with Santa as a family of four. We cannot recommend this highly enough. Excellent service, excellent value for money, brilliant Santa and elves and massive portions of hot, well cooked breakfast. The crackers, table decorations, activities and gifts from Santa were a lovely touch and we had an absolutely lovely time. Thank you very much!

We had a really lovely lunch on Friday, the food was great, the atmosphere really pleasant and the staff we really friendly and helpful.

Our waitress was lovely very attentive and friendly I think there may have been an issue in the kitchen because there were long delays the food arriving at some tables. The food was good we enjoyed our meal and would go again Bonus you can take your dog as well Felt a bit sorry for waiting staff who had to deal with complaints about the lng wait fro food

We had a wonderful afternoon on Thursday 12th December. Your staff are so welcoming, such a cheerful and positive attitude and nothing is too much trouble. My friend and I were feeling a bit sad and low as we came for our festive afternoon tea and the weather was miserable. We walked into a warm, bright and festive atmosphere and had a beautifully set table for 2. The food was exceptional for the price you ask and we were given a container to carry home what we couldn't eat. How our mood changed!!! We went away happier, calmer and feeling christmassy, thanks to your lovely staff and venue. Thankyou so much.

My son and daughter in law bought me an afternoon tea for two as part of my Christmas present last year. Due to various commitments I was unable to use this until 12 December this year. I go for afternoon tea at various venues throughout the year with girlfriends but Renishaw Hall was a bit more special. Everything was lovely, the staff were welcoming, the food was good and the background music lovely. If I could make one suggestion it would be that take home food could go in a box, they may have run out I don't know but ours went home with us on styrene plates in plastic bags. The food arrived home ok ut thigs could have been different. As I say just a suggestion.

What's not to like!!! Fabulous on all counts! We are season ticket holders, so visit regularly even though we live in Arnold, Nottingham. We are always made to feel very welcome, Staff in all aspects are friendly and helpful. Our Christmas Lunch experience could not be better, lovely table, good decorations and attentive friendly staff. Even our little old dog Meg was made very welcome . Dinner was a pleasure to eat - although, we ate far too much!!!!! Meg had her share of turkey too, so she didn't complain!!!! Thank you so much for a lovely afternoon!!!! A quick walk round the park in the drizzle was even nice -- all to ourselves.
