We had a positive experience on the tour and found all the staff very friendly. We all had a Christmas lunch in the cafe which was festive and we did enjoy it, however we could not eat the stuffing. All five of us left it on the plate because it was so hard and dry it couldn't even be cut. We did comment to the waitress about this at the end of the meal. I think if a member of staff had asked us during the meal if everything was alright we could have pointed this out earlier ,but no one came to us until we had finished.

Christmas lunch for 5 of my family. Very pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. Speed of service just right, we weren't rushed but didn't have to wait too long. Would have liked a little more choice of starter and desert as I have a couple of awkward family members. Main turkey meal good. Stuffing ball too hard is my only complaint but plenty of veg and gravy. Cheesecake delicious. An enjoyable occasion.

Came for breakfast with santa with my daughter sbd granddaughter, the welcome was loveky with santa a d his helpers, shosn to our table, all looked very festive. The gift was lovely, breakfast, nicely presented some of it was a little cool, my granddaughter enjoyed the toast and sausage. Overall we will be back next year to see santa

Had the Christmas lunch menu on Sunday which was lovely, we usually visit for lunch in December and throughout the year for coffee and cake. I always enjoy our visits, the staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble, I also love the decor and the relaxed atmosphere. Definitely recommend to anyone and of course the beautiful gardens and hall are worth a visit. ♥️

I am a big fan of this cafe/restaurant but I was a little disappointed on my last visit. I had booked a table for 2 for lunch several weeks ago but received a phone call on the morning of my visit to say that only a Christmas dinner or soup would be available. Had I known this at the time of booking I would have gone somewhere else. At the very least I would have liked a bit more notice so I could have made alternative arrangements. As it was we gad the soup which was very nice. The service was good as always. This will not put me off booking again as I see this as a one off situation at a busy time of year.

Santa breakfast. There was no choice other than small or large breakfast and the eggs could only be fried. Would have preferred some nicer bread for toast.

Another lovely visit, staff friendly as always and it was a little busier today which gave a lovely atmosphere. Excellent service and delicious food. I recommend to everyone I see!

It was my first time visiting the cafe at Renishaw Hall and I wasn’t disappointed! I had booked afternoon tea for two, for my mums birthday. The table was decorated just for us which was a really nice touch. There was plenty of food and it was delicious. The staff were great and very friendly. Will definitely be returning.

We arranged an Afternoon Tea for our friend's 70th birthday, party of 8. It was absolutely delightful :) Staff had decorated our corner table with lovely Autumnal theme and put a Birthday banner up. It was just lovely! The tea itself was really delicious, proper sandwiches and delicious cakes - my favourite was the Chocolate orange one, yummy. We shared a bottle of the Renishaw Brut which was the perfect match for the tea. There were plenty of teapot refills and I agree nothing was too much trouble. I wanted to book again for next 70th birthday outing in January but sadly Renishaw is closed til March! Will make sure to return then. Thank you.

We had a family lunch to celebrate my dad’s 93rd birthday. The table was beautifully decorated and staff were so very attentive and made the event special for my dad. The food was lovely and portions were quite large. Staff came out and sang Happy Birthday with a cake, so there were a few tears. A great place for a celebration event. Thank you for everything.

Another wonderful experience. We’ve had breakfast a few times now and have a wonderful time each time. Lovely food with a lovely quiet atmosphere . The staff are so friendly and will do anything for you. I recommend to everyone I can!

We had the best afternoon tea for a baby shower. The staff were super friendly and helpful accounting for all the dietary requirements our large group had. Upon arrival, the table was decorated with beautiful flowers and fairy lights and the afternoon tea was delicious! I can’t thank the staff enough for a wonderful time!

We visited Renishaw Hall for a guided tour and afternoon tea as a birthday treat - and it was perfect. Many thanks to all those in the Hall, reception and restaurant for their warm and friendly welcome, their attentiveness and really lovely (and huge) afternoon tea. What a great experience - thank you!

We were very pleasantly served and the food was good. Having booked in advance however, and travelled up from South Nottingham for a meaningful occasion, we were disappointed to find that by 1pm there was “No pie left,” “No jacket potatoes left,” “No paninis.” I would definitely have had pie, and my wife probably JP.

We visited with a large U3A group of around 45, and were seated in the Rex Whistler room. We had ordered lunch in advance and all went very smoothly. Staff were very friendly and efficient and the food excellent. Everyone in our group was very happy. Our visit was in August, and I'm so sorry it's taken me so long to write this review.
