We were very pleasantly served and the food was good. Having booked in advance however, and travelled up from South Nottingham for a meaningful occasion, we were disappointed to find that by 1pm there was “No pie left,” “No jacket potatoes left,” “No paninis.” I would definitely have had pie, and my wife probably JP.

We visited with a large U3A group of around 45, and were seated in the Rex Whistler room. We had ordered lunch in advance and all went very smoothly. Staff were very friendly and efficient and the food excellent. Everyone in our group was very happy. Our visit was in August, and I'm so sorry it's taken me so long to write this review.

We received a gift voucher for luxury afternoon tea as a Christmas gift and booked the experience for last week. The website isn’t the easiest to navigate to redeem the voucher and while booking afternoon tea was easy, I rang to check my booking and explain about being unable to book using the voucher. The staff were great though and said to bring the voucher on the day and it would be accepted (which it was). The food good & as with most afternoon teas, we came away with uneaten cake. The service however was great. The waitress couldn’t do enough for us and it was a lovely experience. It was very busy on the day we went as there was a McMillan Coffee Morning being held but it was great to see the cafe bustling with people. Unfortunately it meant we had afternoon tea in the cafe and not the adjoining room where it is normally served. The farm shop was a lovely surprise and we came away with a few additional purchases. We didn’t have enough time to take in the gardens and I would have liked to book a tour of the house. I’m sure we’ll be back though.

Unfortunately, as far as the menu was concerned, it was very disappointing. It was quite limited, so when told they had run out of Eggs Benedict and baked potatoes it was even more limited. Also ran out of ketchup and no pouring cream. I had the quiche which was not very good. However, the staff were lovely. Very helpful and friendly.

The food and service were very good when I visited with a group of friends.The waitress was very pleasant and made our visit very enjoyable.

Went for a lunch date with friends. In lovely grounds. Tasty cakes. I had the quiche which wasn’t anything special.

Booked adternoon tea for my mums 60th birthday treat and it was amazing. All the staff were very friendly, they dressed the table up and it was beautiful. Food was lovely 10/10 all round! We will be back x

Amazing afternoon tea. Myself and my friend have sampled a lot over the years and this one was great. Lovely service and Ian was particularly good. Always checking in on us and he was friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend.

We had breakfast on 13.09.24, eggs benedict and full English both were amazing. Will definately will be going back. Highly recommend it

We had a great lunch at Renishaw Hall Cafe. The food was very nice and fresh and the service good. Staff very friendly. The Cafe is very clean and smart. Highly recommended.

Breakfast was ok but not as good as last time we came we all had poached eggs 2 was hard and 1 runny didn't complain still eat them just mentioned when leaving and the waitress said we should say if we want it runny ??? Service could be better more welcoming
