My sister lives nearby so she recommended it to my partner and I, we have been going ever since - as have our parents and grandparents! Great food, reasonable pricing and the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome in a family atmosphere - recommend it.

In fact I intend to try and get through all the choices on the menu eventually as they all looked so interesting. I went for the first time last week on a visit to Liverpool and have already booked again for this weekend.

My only disappointment is that there is no longer any live music which myself and my family looked forward to and to be honest made Owens Ambience that little more special than the other restaurants we go to ! Bring back the music and it will be the perfect place !!
Owens – ChildwallI dined at Neighbourhood using my hi life card last night. I chose the steak and my partner had the chicken. The sweet mash and green beans are to die for! I will certainly be dining at the restaurant again. The staff were very attentive although a little scruffy! Definitely worth a visit. The do an early evening menu - 2 courses for £11.95 which I thought was excellent.
Neighbourhood – ChildwallMy Husband and I dined here on 30th March 2007, after not eating here for almost 4 years. The quality and choice of food is excellent. My husband had the wild boar ragu for starters (which was to die for) followed by fillet steak medallions. I had the smoked haddock for starter followed by the duck. All meals were cooked to a very high standard and not a scrap of food was left ! We most definitely will be coming back very soon.
Owens – ChildwallA group of us dined here last night. The refit is lovely and the food fantastic, esp hand dived scallops!! The meat fell from lamb shank no complaints whatsoever. Well done.
Owens – ChildwallHave eat here many times although not recently (due to no fault of the restaurant), quite like the ambience as it's very relaxed, nothing amazing just very relaxing and the food was pretty good and certainly not expensive. In a nutshell you will get good food at a reasonable price, the staff are very good and you will get a proper family restaurant feel in here.

Chung Ku – ChildwallI have been eating at Owens regularly for the past 6 years. I have never been disappointed with the food or service yet. I booked Owens for my sons 18th birthday, with 19 guests in tow and the food and service was still 100%. The staff are always pleasant and helpful and i will continue to dine there.

Owens – ChildwallI recently visited the chung ku takeaway restaurant opposite the fiveways pub. i was greatly satisfied by the service and attention to detail that they seem to have there and would recommend this takeaway restaurant to anyone The Chung Ku Is Extraordinary. The Sui Mai's are outstanding and they taste so yummy. I Love The Way The Prawn Crackers Crackle and Crisp in Your Mouth. They Are Out Of This World. We Would Really Recommend This To Everyone Of All Ages.
