La Flambe – ChippenhamAlways well worth the drive to get there. Food is always top notch, never have a bad meal and the service is fantastic. Which is very rare these days Thoroughly recommend!
La Flambe – ChippenhamThe chateaubriand is absolutely the best! I have had this four times and I dream about it. I’ve tried making it at home too, but it’s not as good. Service is always welcoming and quick. One of my favourite places for sure.
La Flambe – ChippenhamThis is the one place we can always guarantee, great food, good service and a warm atmosphere.
La Flambe – ChippenhamEveryone enjoyed a really excellent meal. I rate it the best restaurant for quality food, sensible prices and lovely staff in the area.
La Flambe – Chippenham8 of us met at La Flambé for the first time for Sunday lunch and we all had a wonderful time. The food was delicious and the staff are all amazing. We will definitely be back soon. What a wonderful find.
La Flambe – Chippenhamcame to eat at buckles 3pm because didnt feel like eating dinner early.. sorry buddies, but had a good steak and kidney pie with gravy and chips. pity the chips is frozen chips, i wish they could do better, instead of frozen chips , i wish they cook. real potatoes chips, it's taste more better.. they would get more customers if they cook proper chips.. Thankyou for nice cup of strong black coffee, I would rather they would have strong coffee in the world to serve me, as I love to drink dark strong black coffee. With brown sugar.. Thankyou for your delightful dinner…. I've enjoyed it so much.. Thankyou...
Buckles – ChippenhamJust back from a fabulous weekend at Lucknam Park. Some country house hotels can seem a bit tired (hardly surprising given the upkeep costs) but Lucknam was a revelation – beautifully appointed public rooms and bedrooms, friendly and well-trained staff, a lovely spa, 500 acres of grounds and two good dining options in the shape of the Michelin-starred Park Restaurant and the more informal Brasserie. We ate in both as part of their Gourmet Getaway package. Would certainly revisit and can recommend Lucknam without any reservations.
Lucknam Park – ChippenhamVery good decor and best food in the town.
Ashoka – ChippenhamWent on Friday for a work outing.Very nice clean place and very polite staff, had a lovely meal, one of the best Indians I have ever had. Can highly recommend and will be going back.Great stuff.
The Raj – ChippenhamI visit this pub/restaurant regularly even though I have a fifteen minute drive to get to it. The meals are terrific value and the staff I have found not to be only very helpful but cheerful despite sometimes being rushed off their feet. In actual fact my wife and myself are off there again this lunchtime.I drive there and I manage to have a few drinks and she always has to drive home.......sneaky eh!!
Mill House – Chippenhamjust had sunday lunch.Excellent!!!
Wellesley Arms – ChippenhamThe Fortune inn is a fantastic chinese/pub. The staff are friendly and accommodating. I have eaten here several times and each time has been as good as the other.
Fortune Inn – ChippenhamThis is a very fine reputable establishment with many decorated awards. Me and my wife were made most welcome. They had an exotic range of menu from lamb shank to murgi masala and a wine menu to match. The service was second to none! It was a very clean restaurant well worth a second visit.
Akash Tandoori – ChippenhamGreat pub/restaurant. Excellent food which was reasonably priced. Welcoming atmosphere and friendly, efficient service. Also very well positioned if you are passing by on the M4.
Plough – ChippenhamExcellent Food. Really lovely ambience especially in winter with the log fire. Traditional Gastro-pub, local yet sophisticated atmosphere. A must! The staff are very easy on the eye too which makes the entire experience all the more enjoyable.
Saladin – ChippenhamMy recommendation for anyone planning to eat here would be to drive a few miles further west to the George at Bathampton which is also a traditional character pub/restaurant in a stunning location which serves excellent food. The White Hart menu is geared up to the hearty meat eater and if you opt for something with a fishy or non meat theme, unless you have a gastric band then either eat first or have a starter. Places that serve starter size portions at main meal prices should have a Michelin star or a reputation for fine dining. This has neither
