A great birthday lunch. We were greeted by a warm open fire and a very cosy atmosphere which was very welcome on cold wet February day. The welcome and service was friendly and helpful. Courses were tailored to Mums appetite - still plenty of variety but special smaller portions. All our food was delicious and there was a good choice of wines by the glass.

I absolutely love this restaurant. The food, service and atmosphere are amazing. We went for a birthday celebration, I had the chicken strips and my wife had the lamb, both were exceptional. The potatoes here are world beating. The roast potatoes and potato gratin are both world leading, and hugely generous in portion. We also love the home made Melba toast and salted butter on the table. There are exceptional value meals with the set menu in place, and for 4 of us the meal came to £200 including wine and drinks for 2/3 courses each. Honestly I recommend this restaurant so highly. Thank you for yet another lovely meal.

We were promised good food by people who have dined here and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere is down to earth with a lovely family feel, tables of all ages all enjoying eating together. Delicious Sunday roast. Was very busy but weren't kept waiting unduly. Lots of busy young staff including a couple who looked very new but seemed eager to learn and were most helpful. Really good value for what we had. A lovely visit - we will definitely be back.

Amazing food and service on New Year’s Eve. Lovely menu with a good choice of dishes and no over inflated prices for NYE. Well worth travelling from Devizes to visit this lovely pub/restaurant. Highly recommend.

Lovely dinner for New Year’s Eve . I had the smoked salmon starter , hubby had the Duck Rillette . For main I had the Halibut and prawn and my sidekick the steak with a peppercorn sauce. The food is plentiful and always great . My only slight gripe is we never seem to get sat in the main restaurant and there isn’t much atmosphere or warmth in the alcove bit . We have been visiting for many years and never had a poor meal so would highly recommend !
