Was so excited when friends told me about a local vegetarian/vegan restaurant.We had booked in for a breakfast.The views over the country side make this a fabulous location.However I found the service not particularly friendly,the menu very uninspiring and the food average.Overpriced for the food too.Visited a place near Bolton called Lottie's later that day and with good vegetarian options this is how a cafe should be.Hope you can improve things at Whins would love to return.

Yet again an excellent meal. Prompt curtoise service. 10 out of 10.

The food was lovely and we were greeted by friendly staff however, we were unable to fully appreciate what was on offer as the service was not great. After periods of long waits and failed attempts to get the attention of staff we left without ordering a second course and had to leave the payment on the table. We did see other tables being regularly checked on which made it disappointing and left us feeling like we were in the way.

I loved it so much I came back a week later! First visit we had breakfast, the food was delicious, the staff are lovely and the views are amazing! Second visit we had the afternoon tea, an adundance of devine food that we had to take some home! I'm hoping my next visit I will be making use of the spa facilities as I've heard they're brilliant also.

We enjoyed a fabulous lunch at Whins. Superb vegan food freshly prepared, relaxed, bustling atmosphere, service with a smile and a chat even though they were busy. Couldn’t fault our experience at all.

My first time here although my wife has been before. It met all my expectations, excellent staff, superb food. Well done everyone, we'll certainly be back.

As always great genuine Italian food excellent menu at right price

It is such a shame given the location that this ‘cafe’ does not at all meet expectations I won’t be going again Service was poor - 1.5 hours of waiting for our food, with no clear explanation about why putting together a salad and pre refrigerated dips, cold bread should take so long. The sharing platter was not value for kidney the items had changed from a previous visit with no update on menu . I would not waste your money on this restaurant

I’ve been going to Papa Luigis for years and it never disappoints. The food and service are excellent.

Absolutely lovely food, and the staff were even lovelier! What a hidden vegetarian/vegan gem right around the corner from home. I’ve been wanting to go for ages and I will certainly be back soon.

Absolutely beautiful food and atmosphere. Staff always run off their feet with not enough of them on for how busy it is. That being said they couldn’t do enough for everyone and were always very pleasant.

Never had a bad meal and never experienced bad service … lovely atmosphere and the food is always 10/10 for us

My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Papa Luigis recently and what an excellent experience. Great welcome, all Covid restrictions in place. Staff excellent and food was first class. I would have no hesitation in re- visiting, hopefully very soon.

Insignificant “big breakfast”. Sadly much the same, and as appetising, as any pub vegetarian breakfast for at least £3 less, so not good value. Toast had to be sent back as it was basically warm bread. The second attempt was no better, but who wants to argue over breakfast? Yes, we did stay long enough to have cake, and that was absolutely delicious. I have enjoyed so many interesting and innovative lunches at Whins that the breakfast won’t put me off returning. I won’t be ordering a big breakfast again though unless they up their game. Service was perfect by a lovely young man and the standards of hygiene were 100%. The glorious setting won’t let the breakfast off the hook every time though. The breakfast menu would stand without the big breakfast being on there. I hope this is received in the manner it is intended.
