Generally an enjoyable meal, with good service. The starters were really good (especially the brie wedges), the mains not quite as good, but pleasant nonetheless. Service was good, though there was a mistake with our order and we were brought steak and chips instead of medallions of steak with potatoes and vegetables. Too full to sample any of the desserts unfortunately.

Possibly best roast ever .. .. other than my wife's, of course. I had pork. It was so tender, it almost melted in my mouth. The vegetables were excellent. After just a main, we were too full for a dessert. They won't appreciate this but, although I'm sure the starters are lovely, you won't need one.

The meal was well presented, delicious and value for money. All the staff were very friendly, efficient and professional. We would recommend here to anyone and would definitely return again when we are in the area.

Came here for a business meeting. Great, friendly service and beautiful location. Lunch was served slightly early for us as we were in a bit of a rush to get back, not only was it value for money but presented well too! Thanks, we will return!

In Lock down we were pleased to eat Vicki and Greg's delicious Take-Aways. This certainly brightened the lock down evenings. We then enjoyed eating outside on the Green and now we are enjoying eating in the Restaurant highly recommending to our friends the delicious variety of food on the menu which never disappoints.

Very impressed by the transformation of the fabric of the building making it a delightful place to eat. Staff lovely and so polite and lively. Food just as expected and house wine good value. Nicely brought to the table with chef holding tray and waitress taking it off and both dishes together and hot!Altogether an excellent first meal and will try lunch soon:Good luck to all concerned and I hope Cote will be a great success - certainly the company has worked at making it a great eating experience.Very tasteful loos bar being upstairs.

I went to Stoney's on the opening night. The waiting staff are very young, unprepared and don't listen. I ordered a lemonade and ended up wearing it, ordered a salmon salad and was presented with a overcooked salmon fillet. The manageress was defensive and unapologetic. Terrible service, disgusting food. Will never go back.

Had the best Jalfrezi I have had in an Indian restaurant. The chicken was fresh not frozen as in most similar restaurants. Very friendly efficient service as well. Price was surprisingly cheap considering quality. The only complaint I have is the truly awful carpet on the stairs on the way up to this first floor restaurant. It creates a terrible impression that could may some diners turn and leave the restaurant. I am glad I continued up! First impressions are not always the right ones...

Having stayed at The New Inn, last weekend 22.01.2011. I'm really pleased to recommend The New Inn situated in the Cotswolds, near Cirencester. I and two girlfriends were in need of a break from the bright lights of the city, we certainly got just that! The accommodation was divine, all the little extras were noted from two complimentary bottles of homemade vodka made by a local company called Godminster, to fresh soft white towels, pristine white cotton bedding. The service and food was spot on. We were really made to feel extremely special; the dining room was full of guests and couples who were dinning just for the evening. We ate from their seasonal Game Menu as The New Inn pride themselves in following 'seasons not fashion' at £15.95 for one course or £19.95 for two we certainly didn't feel we had stretched our budget! To finish we were served a complimentary shot of homemade Vodka, I had Rhubarb flavour along with a champagne truffle which fizzed in my mouth, reminiscent of the sweet I used to buy as a child that crackled on your tongue. Breakfast was just as delightful with the same efficient service. The atmosphere left you feeling comfortable and at ease, papers a plenty with a steady flow of fresh coffee. Not a fan of the full English I opted for Eggs Benedict, it certainly hit the spot. We stayed for one night bed and breakfast and we all left feeling as if we'd had a proper break and really didn't want to leave and return to the lights and fast pace of the city. They often have offers for last minute breaks, it’s worth keeping an eye, if only to jump off of the wheel for a day and night.

From the outside a little unprepossessing. However, once inside a haven of peace. Lovely discreet waitstaff, short but very very creative menu. An amazing selection of mainly local raw materials turned into extraordinary dishes. I had spider crab gazpacho. Delicate and with just a little gazpacho not to drown it.. Then suckling pork with anise. We were, quite frankly, gob-smacked. And the cheese board was a monster. Accompanied too with some very very good wine. Especially strong on French regionals. All in all a real wow. Amazed they are not up in the Michelin league

The Wild Duck at Ewen. The food took 40 minutes to arrive and when I complained to the manager he did not accept that this was a problem and was very rude to me. The food was ok, although the roast beef was very tough. However, the appalling service ruined what was a birthday treat for my mother

Wonderful old Inn serving great food and with a good strong base of pleasant local drinkers. This place oozes olde worlde charm and has a great team of friendly helpful staff.

Nice place, food was good (not great!) but quite expensive! Sharing platter of tempura veg £9, 5 tiny gyoza £5 and a pork ramen £10.50. Everything was fine but a couple of quid per dish more than we thought it was worth. Probably won't go back.
