I’ve lost count of how many times I have had a meal at Fishers!! Every time I have been there the Staff have welcomed me and my guests with warmth and friendliness . We are gradually working our way through the menu !!! which on each occasion has been delicious. Cooked to perfection and even more with attention to detail. On one visit we asked if there was any Whitebait which was not on the menu on that occasion. The Chef cooked the best I have ever tasted. Perfection… to keep returning speaks for itself. We love it

The owner reminded me that we've been enjoying Fishers for the 24 years since she opened, mainly for light lunches but also for the occasional evening like this one, our 40th wedding anniversary Great atmosphere, attentive service, excellent food.

On arrival, we were greeted by bins being taken out. The restaurant area needs a little TLC, cleaning and atmosphere to reflect the price paid. Cobwebs in the corner where we sat, the mirror in the restaurant I faced was dirty, the toilet lock broken and it needs a lock of paint. The food tasted great but it was a very expensive meal for a lack of atmosphere and upkeep. Such a shame as it could be a great place! Expensive wine for the taste too! Would I go back- no.

We’ve been to this restaurant 4 times over the last 6 months and have had an amazing meal each time. The food is tasty, perfect cooked and presented deliciously. Service polite and efficient. Great place

I had excellent mussels and Pameli had fish pie, which she said was very tasty. Followed this ultimate indulgence of banana fritters with cream. Lovely!

Exactly what every neighbourhood needs - a straightforward restaurant serving good food in a place with a nice unpretentious approach. If you want flash or status, go elsewhere, this place is simple and honest, and the choice of fish is excellent. I found it on my last visit to Bristol, and loved it, so returned, and it didn't disappoint. Sole and Bream on the bone, both well cooked, and good starters of Mackerel pate with toast, and Calamari. None of it will change the world, and nor should it need to - just simple stuff, done well, and good service and a good ambiance. About £100 for two, with a starter and main, and a bottle of wine. So not exactly cheap, but certainly fair.

This is one of my favourite places to eat. Relaxed atmosphere, gorgeous fresh food. Lovely staff.

Welcoming and friendly staff - delicious perfectly cooked (of course) salmon with kedgeree. Coffee over ice-cream as no room for a proper pudding. Perfect

Relaxing atmosphere but our first course got served to customers behind us and we both had the fish stew which was delicious but 70% to 80% of the mussels were closed! Also we find the wine is not really up to standard but perhaps we have been unlucky

We always enjoy a meal at fishers but my goodness me they excelled themselves on Friday. After starters which were as usual excellent, the five of us ordered 2 shellfish platters for 2 with 2 added lobsters. I have never had this before, and I will certainly be having it again. Plump sweet mussels in a beautiful tasty creamy sauce, scallops perfectly cooked, tiger prawns that were just cooked so were tender and had absorbed the flavours around them, and juicy, tender, buttery lobster. This was a birthday celebration, and as we all laughed and chatted over this fantastic food we were all sharing and dipping into, I think we realised fishers had made the day even more special. Delicous skate, delicious kedgeree, puddings too tempting. Has kept up the standard of cooking over many years. Tables a bit close together but otherwise a great venue

Went for meal on 29th April in early afternoon ordered two fish meals 1bass and salad and boiled potatoes, 1 trout salad and boiled potatoes the bass was so small just small amount of salad limp and potatoes so bland both meals and so little of it been going there for years but gone down in standards big time never again

Wonderful seabass last night. One of my favourite restaurants in Bristol, never disappointed.

This restaurant has just opened. I went on consecutive nights, first with a friend and then with my partner and teenage children. I enjoyed it both times. Even though it's part of an expanding chain it doesn't feel like it. The service was excellent and the food was excellent. It was also packed and had a lively atmosphere. There's a takeaway menu too which we'll look forward to using too
