We came for a special occasion as this is my mums favourite place to eat and she is now in a Care Home. She was always a regular visitor to this restaurant for many years. We got the table requested. Thank you. We all felt the food was not as good as we’ve had previously. We all ate off the Christmas menu. Starters were ok ( nothing special), however mum had lamb and it was very tough. We had to ask for mint sauce and would have liked a sharper knife to cut her meat for her. Salmon was good. The veg was disappointing. Some roast potatoes ( tasteless) and one small dish of mixed veg. ( I have always loved the plentiful and tasty veg before but this was meagre, over cooked parsnips and unimaginative). Service was 2 older people, who although they tried, seemed rather rushed and not the usual friendly chat we’ve come to expect from staff. They struggled to carry the hot plates of food and we nearly got them on our laps a couple of times. The crackers were poor and the whole ambience lacking. The mince pies were tiny and everything lacked anything special. Overall an expense and disappointing trip out for us all.

We had a lovely meal on Saturday evening, first class service, seasonal menu available together with additional special dishes spoilt for choice. Excellent well cooked food. Will return in the New Year

Me & my Wife took some friends out to the 3 Millstones Inn for a meal on Saturday Night The food and drinks was excellent as usual and the service just great I can not fault this restaurant at all Our friends were really impressed and said they would definitely go again

Sunday lunch at the 3 Millstones yesterday was excellent The menu offered plenty of choice. The quality of food was excellent. Everything was well cooked and very tasty. Plenty of vegetables. Beautiful desserts. Lovely staff who are there to look after all needs. Definitely will return very soon. Thank you.

We have been here several times and as always lovely staff and ambience. This time we sat by the roaring fire which was lovely on a cold wet day. We were a party of 4 and everyone except myself enjoyed their meals which were well prepared and looked appetising However I choose the cheese snd onion pie which I have had in the past, but this time it was a poor offering, cheese and stringy onions in a ramekin topped by a thin pastry top which was not great. I would have said something at the time but as we were there for a celebratory meal it wasn’t the time to say anything and spoil what was otherwise a lovely occasion We will be back as in the past it’s always been perfect and the staff were as lovely as always Hopefully just a blip ….?

Havnt been here for a while but it was as usual lovely. I had the roast beef dinner lovely. tender meat veg cooked perfectly for me ( and everyone) Crab starter was delicious very fresh I fact couldn't fault anything and neither could my guests Only one niggle and its always the same wherever I go ...no table water But hey ho I should have asked!

Another lovely meal at the 3 Millstones. Fabulous, friendly staff and service. It never disappoints and is extremely good value for money.

Amazing food and lovely staff

Lovely food in a beautiful setting. We stayed for 1 night and ate in the restaurant. Rooms were well presented, had everything you needed, the only gripe was not being able to open the bathroom window (room 10). Food was excellent, we had the pork trio, peppercorn chicken & the suet pudding, all amazing with brilliant service! Breaky was good quality products, although service at breakfast wasn’t as good, our toast arrived much later than the full English, it was still enjoyed though. Will be back!
