Eat here regularly for lunch and always get a very good meal. The fish dishes they prepare are excellent and their puddings served with custard are scrumptious.

visited on a cold and wet Saturday teatime with friends. We were greeted to a warm welcome delicious smells and friendly banter. The Service was second to none, the food was hot tasty and plentiful and our bill didn't break the bank . Will definitely be returning soon.

Had lunch here after a break of a few weeks. Very Good in every way as always. Very tasty food from a well selected menu; very good choice of wines and beers; pleasant attentive service in a welcoming relaxed setting. Prices reasonable too. If you want the best British traditional food without drizzles, soils, jus et tout le reste, this is the place to come.

Fantastic freshly made food, served by very well trained and attentive staff in inviting surroundings and complemented by a fantastic soundtrack making this a most enjoyable and atmospheric experience, all this and at a reasonable price too! An absolute gem of a restaurant.
