Visited for the first time yesterday. The restaurant is so pretty with fairy lights and lovely lighting. It is quite noisy in the main restaurant but I didn’t mind that, though anyone with hearing difficulties may want to request the smaller section near the shop floor which was much quieter. We did have an hours wait for our food to arrive but it was very busy (1300 on a Saturday) and Simon who served us was very nice. Will definitely return and highly recommend.

We love The Barn for breakfast. Atmosphere and comfort is really good plus quality of food. Just a minor hint to the Barn our butter for the toast is nearly always delivered as liquid and not enjoyable.

I’d booked a table For 10:30am for 4 people . It was mine and two others first visit on recommendation of my daughter who had been before. She was with us also. The breakfast was lovely. 3 of us had the eggs and avocado on sourdough and then one smoked salmon and scrambled eggs also on sourdough. My mum said the scrambled eggs were a little on the cooler side but was too hungry to ask for another one! The flavours of the avocado were incredible. It was a party in my mouth! The poached eggs were perfection. I would highly recommend this dish. The staff were friendly and polite. My only complaint would be the knives. I know that’s a bit random but we all struggled to cut our sourdough toast due to the bluntness of the knives! We will definitely visit again

My family and I had a Sunday lunch at The Barn which we all very much enjoyed. Great service and enjoyed sitting in the outside section, next to the shop which had a lovely atmosphere. We’ve also separately had tea and cake here a few weeks ago which we loved too!

Cannot fault the service or the food My friend had the toasted t cake as I recommended but for the first time I went for the bacon butty- lovely fresh granary bread which was full of very flavoursome bacon- definitely to be repeated We were sat at a table within the shop rather than in the main restaurant which at times can get noisy & busy so prefer the quieter atmosphere of the smaller area Lovely way to spend Sunday morning!

We both had the king prawn Marie rose open sandwich which was nice but really could do with more prawns especially at £13.95. I’m a regular visitor as I love the garden centre and the cafe has a lovely atmosphere and very good staff. It might be nice to have a normal sandwich on the menu sometime not open ones.

Excellent friendly service and the Sunday Roast was excellent, amazing Yorkshire Puds and plenty of tasty vegetables, especially the Potatoes. ( Meat was excellent and the Vegetarian option also excellent ) You can tell this was cooked by a Chef and not a microwave ! Will be back.

Service was good, food very disappointing. I’d been recommended to eat here as the breakfasts are “amazing” but actually they weren’t at all. Toast was cold. The barn breakfast was ever so disappointing the eggs were cooked how I liked but the bacon was like card board and the sausages were anaemic in the middle but burnt on the ends, quality wasn’t far off a cash and carry sausage. I’m hoping this was a one off as it was busy.

The staff were very friendly, and patient with us as they had to come back twice for our order as we had been chatting and not looking at the menu. The only thing we did order was 2 hot drinks and they took a long time to make and when they were brought over they were lukewarm. The rolls we had were very nice, but a little over priced as they were just under £10 each.
