We come The Barn often for breakfast or cake. We are never disappointed. The staff are friendly, the cafe is always so clean and welcoming, and the food is really delicious. We really like the new outside area too. Thanks to all the staff for their friendliness and help.

Had a lovely lunch here, amazing omelette with side of chips. Fresh and very tasty. Staff are polite and friendly. Always cleaning and working very hard. Cakes are yummy too

I regularly visit The Barn With various friends and family and it never fails to please. Beautiful cake and scones and lovely light lunches. And always service with a smile from the lovely staff.

Lovely food and very pleasant staff

Visit this cafe quite regularly! The staff are amazing. Efficient, and friendly. The food is of a good quality cooked fresh and quick! Lovely cakes and desserts too. Good coffee and selection of other drinks. Specials menu changes regularly. Seating inside and outside. Tables kept clear and clean. Highly recommend this place.

I booked a table for 6, the customer service from start to finish was excellent. The food was well prepared and we didn't wait long. We had a range of meals from Fish and Chips, paninis and sandwiches all were delicious. Overall a very enjoyable and tasty lunch.

I took a party of 19 people for lunch at The Barn Garden centre, and was very impressed with the service and speed they had all this group fed and watered , My elderly guest enjoyed their meal and the lovely day out all maid possible by the staff of the restaurant , and will defiantly be making another visit in the future thank you to all the staff .

The Barn is my go to when meeting up with friends & family in Colchester. Booking is easy online. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. All the dishes and cakes are delicious. Plant based milks are available & there is limited vegan and gluten free choice. My favourite place for breakfast. We weren’t too keen on the introduction of music on our visit yesterday. It was a bit distracting. Maybe the volume could be lowered? The shop is well worth a visit for gifts, clothing and a good selection of garden plants. Definitely recommend a visit to The Barn.
