Ganges – Trurohad lunch on a Saturday, after walking the dog on Lusty Glaze Beach. The Hotel is a lovely old granite building and the restaurant has views of the coastline and Porth beach. We shared a very nice chicken satay, although they used Peanut butter instead of proper sauce, which was a bit naf! My partner had a BLT which was very good using very high quality bacon. I had the fish and chips, which was a surprise when it arrived wrapped in a large sheet of white greaseproof that acted as a serviette, this was a nice touch. The Cod was excellent and the french fries were really good also. We washed this down with a glass of chilean Gewurztraminer, very nice. We will be going back.
Watermark – Newquayi fell off the ferry hungry and cold, only to stumble across this fantastic little cafe, instantly greeted with a warm welcome, from a very attractive waitress by the name of gemma, shown to a table, i quikly ordered a coffee to warm me through, followed by a rare tuna steak done to perfection, i sat there most of the afternoon watching the world go by relaxing and feeling no pressure to leave, which is a rareity these days. All in all a fabulous little place offering quality food and drink in a fantastic fun and vibrant atmosphere.
Blue Tomato Cafe – WadebridgeThe restaurant is in a unique location, the service is smart and friendly, the food is fantastic and I have never found a more enjoyasble atmosphere for dining.
Juliets Garden Restaurant – Scilly IslesWe stayed in the adjoining B & B part of The Cornish Range and as a treat eat in the their restaurant for the first night. The food was terrific and of very good quality, however, we found the service terrible. We had to ask for everything twice and our main meals took well over an hour to arrive - they then said it was out fault as we did not order starters?? in the end we were almost the last to leave after arriving at 7.30pm for a main and a desert and a bottle of wine.
Cornish Range – PenzanceI have to disagree with the other reviews. Although the food was tasty, the portions were extremely small for an Indian restaurant & the staff were not helpful when asked about vegetarian options. The bill was a shock, I consider this restaurant to be very overpriced. I can only speak from personal experience - we will not be going back to this restaurant.
Baba Indian Restaurant – TruroBrowns is the place to head for if you are in or around Penzance. Delicious vegetarian food in nice surroundings. It is just a shame they are not open more often in the evenings.
Archie Browns Vegetarian Restaurant – PenzanceWe like this modern and stylish Indian restaurant, great menu, great nan and high quality curries. presentation is excellent.
Rajpoot – St IvesThis restauarant is warm and inviting and the decor is smart and more upmarket then your average indian restaurant. The food and its presentation are both fantastic and the atmosphere is great, this is our first stop when we feel like an Indian -highly recommended.
Baba Indian Restaurant – TruroEating at Barclay House is a superb experience that leaves you feeling very special! Well done Nick and your excellent staff team!
Barclay House Hotel and Restaurant – LooeIf you love freshly fried fish and chips in a nice setting with wine - you will love Emile's! It is first class!!
Emiles – LooeMy wife and i visited st ives last weekend and we enjoyed the best meal by far at alba. We such enjoyed a wonderful breakfast on sunday morning at the harbour kitchen that we decided to eat upstairs in the evening. My wife had the best seabass really full of flavour and i stuck to the very affordable set menu, which was truly delicious. For dessert i had my favourite creme caramel which was the tastiest i've eaten. I would firmly reccomend alba to anyone in st ives!
Alba – St IvesThe portions were "humungous" As a greedy friend of ours once said "I'll be glad when I've had enough"
Trevaskis Farm Restaurant – Hayleone of the best restaurants in Mevagissey - we know many people who hav been there and returned for more of the qhality food which is always up to the same standard. Book or you will be lucky to get in
Salamander – MevagisseyWe booked the table by the window in advance and we were glad we did as it is a small restaurant. The food is very good but a bit limited for families even though our children are more adventurous than most. A bit pricey for a family of four! But nice as a treat!
Alba – St IvesVery much a family restaurant. The menu is great for kids and adults alike. The atmosphere was good as we were all made to feel wlecome. The service was very slow but then again it was the middle of August!
Rhubarbs – St IvesWhat a refreshing and exciting change for Falmouth. An unpretentious bar and restaurant that appeals to the modern sensibilities. The food was great and the service attentive. I shall be returning for a repeat experience soon.
Five Degrees West – FalmouthExcellent food, book early to avoid disapointment: Consistantly good food - Good base menu with fantastic specials Highly recomend!
