Alfresco – St IvesFantastic setting and views - the restaurant is right on the beach. Good service by friendly staff. The sticky toffee pudding was outstanding.
Porthgwidden Beach Cafe – St Iveswow what a great place i was only passing and stopped on the off chance and im so pleased i did the food was fantastic real good honest home cooked food, it had a varied menu and if thats not enough they had a spiecals board the size of a small county, i;m not a wine drinker so you will have to make your own mind up on that. i hope to go back soon and it will be well worth the drive. the locals i got talking to said it had the best carvery in cornwall so maybe sunday it is.
Old Shire Inn – CamborneMannings is a lovely little pub, but the food may be a bit over rated, but this must be because they cateer for many people, worth a go
Mannings – TruroWe visit St Ives at least 3 times a year. We go to the Mex every time. We enjoy the food and the atmosphere.
Mex The – St IvesAbsolutely superb food - well cooked, quality ingredients as well as interesting dishes. Menu varies reasonably often. They have a bar area and a separate restaurant as well as space outside. The wine list is probably the best you will find in Cornwall - they are importers. The prices on the wine is also very reasonable - £15 will get you a very decent bottle and the range goes up to suit any pocket. I would highly reccomend Trengilly to anyone and for any occasion.
Trengilly Wartha Inn – FalmouthTrengilly Warta Inn is the greatest pub around. Its very good for vegetarians and children, i love all the foods here, My sister is 5 and will eat lots of the meals because they can give you a childs portion of most of the dishes. My whole family gives trengilly wartha inn a 5 star rating.
Trengilly Wartha Inn – FalmouthGreat variety in the menu from mussels to pizzas and it is very pleasant to sit in the conservatory or outside in summer.
William IV – TruroProbably the best steak I've ever had.
Brayfell Inn, The – Trurofantastic atmosphere, real party place at weekends. good food quick service and no-one telling you to keep the noise down. great night out.
Mex The – St Iveswe have been regular visitors to this restaurant for many years and if you want a good chinese in Cornwall this is without doubt the very best place to go forget the price enjoy the experience
Eastern Promise – TruroGreat restaurant! Good food and not too spicy. The waitresses wear beautiful Thai dresses... I will definitely will visit again .
Lotus Thai Restaurant – NewquayNot wholly vegetarian but quite a few choices. Lovely salads but they tend to run out of jacket potatoes fairly often. Totally non-smoking, not open in the evenings unfortunately.
Fodders – TruroFriday night and the place was packed, a good atmosphere and the food was very good, great wine and the desserts were terrific, highly recommended
Alba – St IvesHave now eaten here 3 or 4 times and never been disappointed. In the shadow of Brown Willy, so rightly selling itself as the highest pub in Cornwall, The Old Inn is well worth the journey off the main highways and is always popular with walkers. Serving a good mix of pub grub their chef favours local farms, butchers and cheesemakers so it's hard to go wrong with your menu choice. The Moorland Grill is well worth a try (make sure you're VERY hungry or have someone to help you out) and the sausages & mash with gravy (often a bland affair in lesser hostelries) is a tribute to the 'buy local' philosophy. They also have a proper restaurant but can't imagine it's any better than the main pub.
Old Inn, The – BodminAn excellent new restaurant! The food was delicious and exceptionally good value when compared to 'big city' restaurants of similar quality. (The chocolate dessert was to die for!!) The wine list was extensive with lots of moderately priced options. I also loved the decor and ambience - fresh and roomy, but also quite chilled out. You didn't feel like you were dining on top of everyone else! I can imagine that in summer the outdoor terrace will also be a great place for lunches or an early evening G&T!
Wreckers – St AustellThoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, have, and will continue to recommend to all. Congratulations.
Wreckers – St AustellOrdered the Hub Huge breakfast - it was definitely the best breakfast and best for value for money that I have had in Cornwall sausages were outstanding, as was the bacon, real bread and superb coffee rounded it off.- The views are outstanding from the first floor restaurant. I can inagine it will be difficult to get into during summer.
