Excellent food, great service and location. Place has a chilled vibe. Highly recommend the Cauliflower Tacos.

Excellent food, great service and location. Place has a chilled vibe. Highly recommend the Cauliflower Tacos.
Lemon Twist – FalmouthSimple but brilliant!
The Lookout Bar and Eatery – NewquayTasty food, great drinks, great atmosphere and nice staff. We will definitely be back when we visit Falmouth again !! I really recommend this place
Lemon Twist – FalmouthUnfortunately, we didn’t even stay for a meal! We received a phone call about 2.5 hours before we were due at the restaurant with an apology to say that their pizza oven was not working. I specifically asked whether they had other options and was told ‘oh yes, there are plenty of other options’, so we decided to still go. When we arrived, on time, there were only 2 staff working there and they were running around trying to keep everyone happy. The lad behind the bar politely shouted over and asked us to bear with him. We stood at the entrance for a good 10 minutes before his colleague approached us. Again, he as very polite and apologised for the delay and he took us to our table. We were given one creased up, dirty paper menu to share between 3 of us. With pizzas off the menu, it was very limited, we struggled to find something for each of us, but eventually opted for our choices. We then waited again for a further 20 minutes, before I had to go and find one of the waiters and ask him if he would take our order. Again, he apologised, and came straight over. The first of our party started to order, and the waiter then interrupted to say that their option was not available, he then went in to tell us 3 other items on the menu that were not available! Why he couldn’t have told us that 20 minutes prior, when he gave us the menu, I do not know! This is no exaggeration to say that there were only 2 main course options left, and not a single vegetarian option. Bearing in mind our table was booked for 7pm, hardly a late sitting, so it does seem unbelievable that they had ran out of so many things! We asked for a second to reconsider and it soon became clear that we could not select anything from the options available. Very disappointingly, we sadly decided to leave without eating or drinking. I cannot comment on the food, but to be honest I felt sorry for the 2 young lads working there. They were so busy and very polite, but the place was clearly under-staffed, lacking leadership and obviously lacking food!
The Lookout Bar and Eatery – NewquayStarted the night with a long list of items that were not available. Fours meals ordered, two were steaks that we cooked ourselves at the table and two portions of fish and chips. Drinks came fairly quickly but the food took well over an hour. We were told three times "It won't be much longer but we are swamped." Finally, after it got to 1 hour and 10 minutes, we asked how much longer it would be to get the reply. "I don't really know. I saw some meals cooking, they might be yours but I'm not sure". A bit of an odd reassurance. Still, we got to watch everyone else's, including the table next door who received a dessert they didn't order and when they queried it they got told: "oh we didn't have any of that cheesecake you asked for so we brought another". When they asked if it was nuts on top the response they got was a giggle and "I'm not sure, could be." Not so great if you have allergies. Ours finally arrived and was actually nice tasting (we got different veg to what we asked for but we were scared to complain incase we had someone else's meal and they wanted it back!) We came in at 7:50 for our 8pm reservation and we had only just finished one course just after 10.pm Chef great; serving staff need a bit more training.
Molesworth Arms – WadebridgeLimited menu which was made even more difficult when half of the dishes were not available. Staff worked hard but needed more support as service was slow. Plenty of other places to eat in Cornwall so give them a go first before eating here. Expensive for what was essentially burger and chips.
The Lookout Bar and Eatery – NewquayLovely place l, great food and very friendly staff
The Lookout Bar and Eatery – NewquayDisappointing. No menus, just a blackboard with no prices and only 8 food options. Very small portions and quite dry. No side salad with burgers, very empty plates
The Lookout Bar and Eatery – NewquayIt was difficult to book no messages returned. When managed to book I was told that couldn’t fit us in as fully booked and restaurant was very empty when we left. The Halloumi fries were cold. Service was slow and plates were not cleared before next course was brought out.
The Lookout Bar and Eatery – NewquayUnfortunately we did not have a good meal, we were initially put on a table right next to the bar where we couldn't hear ourselves think over the ice grinder, so asked to move to another table, they did move us but then we had to wait 15 mins to get 2 drinks, one of which was wrong, another 10 mins to order food, then about 45 mins before the food arrived. When it did, the medium to well done steak I ordered was bloody, and the prawns were tough and rubbery, but didnt want to send it back as we had already waited so long for it we were starving, not to mention they closed shortly, so we ate it, and it was average, but far to pricey for what we actually got! Despite all this, we realised that's they were busy so gave a second chance on the dessert, I wish I hadn't bothered! I ordered a strawberry eton mess, and what I got was vanilla ice cream with a squirt of strawberry sauce at the bottom and some whipped cream on top with a peice of meringue stuck on it, I was so shocked and appalled I left it and left the pub. The cocktails didnt taste of anything either, so really really disappointed to be honest. Over £90 for 2 meals, 2 drinks and 1 dessert. I wont be going back!
Molesworth Arms – Wadebridge1st time visiting lemon twist, couldn’t get in, in May when we were last down. We had a lovely evening, food excellent, staff couldn’t do enough for us, really friendly. Will definitely visit again when down visiting family.
Lemon Twist – FalmouthWe enjoyed a very nice meal at the molesworth recently food was excellent and service from our initial waitress was very good and friendly. However her shift finished at 9pm and service after was poor. We are locals and eat on a regular basis at the pub and it’s upmarket boathouse. Menu in pub is more varied but boathouse is lovely.
Molesworth Arms – WadebridgeFood was ok, though would be great to see some salad, risotto, healthy options … staff fantastic, couldn’t do enough to help.
The Lookout Bar and Eatery – NewquayThe staff where over worked and worn out! I felt really sorry for them
The Lookout Bar and Eatery – NewquayGreat service, lovely food
Molesworth Arms – WadebridgeThe restaurant itself is lovely but the menu and the food was extremely disappointing. The menu was very limited and uninspiring with very basic burgers, fish and chips etc. You got the impression they were trying to cut costs (cheap ingredients etc) with the food and had run out of most of the desserts but 7pm. Given the cost of the chalets at Retallack I’d hoped for much better.
The Lookout Bar and Eatery – NewquayFirst meal out with visiting family for ages and, as usual at Lemon Twist, we weren't disappointed. Lovely quiet table at the back, attentive and prompt service without fussing and great food and drink. Missing the Seafood Platter but fish tacos, mussels and garlic prawns made up for that. Great to be back. Hopefully will become a regular haunt again.
