Becks Fish and Chips – St IvesSuperb food, lots of interesting things to choose from, and helpful staff.
Digey Food Room, The – St IvesI have just spent an enjoyable evening dining out at Tapenades with friends. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was presented to a high standard and was extremely fresh and imaginative. Extra touches such as the sorbet and handmade chocolates made this a special dining experience. The cheesecake is out of this world. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant.
Tapenades – Liskeardwe have eaten in and had meals delivered we have always had excellent service and lovely food yum ....
Mandarin Garden The – TruroExcellent small restaurant in Mevagissey. The service and welcome were both friendly and efficient. The duck was cooked to perfection and was so tasty and tender. The owner said that she had sourced "happy ducks" and obviously happy ducks make tasty ducks!! My wife thoroughly enjoyed her sea bass fillets with lemon and parsley sauce. The accompanying vegetables were well cooked and tasty. Well worth a visit!! We will be returning soon!!
Salamander – MevagisseyLovely place to eat, relax and friendly place. food it brilliant!! A*******
Bodmin JailA notice outside this pub restaurant claims that all produce is locally sourced when possible. Seemingly it was not possible to source fresh beans, carrots or plaice in late September (2007). All were evidently from frozen.
Turks Head Inn, The – PenzanceVisited Del Mar Sept 07, poor quality food - pizza best thing on the menu. Steak and chicken over cooked. When we made our concerns known to a staff member, very rude and dismissive. (particular female member of staff, well we now believe to be the owner) Not an authentic Italian restaurant!!
Del Mar – PerranporthIt's a really good place to get take out. Everything is fresh, made to your liking. The portions are huge, not like TV diners!! I got the prawn korma, and there was like 50 prawns in it!!! Really recommend trying it out!
Green Chilli – Newquaywent there last week for lunch, after walking the streets of st Ives many times looking for a decent place to eat at a reasonable price. we were not disappointed when we were served two really fresh mackerel grilled and served on a bed of salad leaves with beetroot and walnut relish with bread, and the cost was only about £7 per person would definitely go back again and we are looking forward to visiting again next year, maybe even every lunchtime, as we only come across this gem on our last day in Cornwall. Thanks to all the staff for putting our faith back into eating out after some lousy culinary experiences whilst in Cornwall
Seafood Cafe The – St IvesPossibly the best Indian food I've ever tasted! Always a good treat!
Sagor Tandoori Restaurant – LauncestonA private room - set aside for 10 eager gourmands was not a bridge to far for this professionally run Padstein eatery. We were a cross section of people who all had a different view of good food. Some had done the 3 star Michelin 'thing' - some were happy with what the best Padstow could offer. Some ate things they thought they were allergic to. All had a common purpose - to enjoy the company and to sample the best that Cornwall had to offer. There were no arguments. We all agreed that the service, the food and the wine were the best we had had in Cornwall - and for some of us - ever had! The proof of a successful meal is how much you remember of it the next day. I am still salivating as I recapture the delicacies presented on the day. Talking specifics about what we ate is pointless as menus change. However the fact that 10 well travelled people all agreed with the excellence of this establishment is proof positive that Padstow has a worthy rival to Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant. In fact I would go so far as to say that Rick should be proud to have someone to look up to!
Paul Ainsworth at No 6 – PadstowHaving arrived in Rock early one Saturday morning with my good lady wife and the dog, a cappuccino was in order. The waitress was attentive and friendly and the coffee was agreeable. The only thing that left a bad taste was the price - £3.25 each for a regular (not large mind) coffee was not steep but positively precipitous. And we come from Barnes the coffee village of south west London.
Blue Tomato Cafe – WadebridgeTypical tourist trap restaurant, overpriced and poor quality. We visited this summer for the first time, and although regularly holiday in the area we will never return to the Clipper. The fish pie was expensive, didn't appear to contain anything resembling fish, and the portion size was small, served with a pathetic excuse for a side salad. The drinks were expensive and served in small tumblers. I can only assume they can stay in business due to the large number of unsuspecting tourists they must have as customers. Steer clear of this one !
Clipper Restaurant The – PadstowAte here 14th Sept 07. We were very impressed with the food, service and atmosphere. Nicely presented and clean restaurant. Tasty and fresh food. Good value for money. Nothing was too much trouble, the waitress was helpful and friendly, she went out of her way to accommodate our requests. We are quite fussy about the quality of the food when we eat out, and we couldn't fault it and even think it was the best Chinese meal out we have ever had. Good result as we didn't have a clue where to eat in Falmouth and chose it because it looked nice from the outside when we were walking past. Highly recommend eating here.
Mings Garden – FalmouthThis is the first time we have visited Bustopher Jones. The atmosphere and staff was very friendly, and the food superb. We are both vegetarians so we had lovely bread, olives, and balsamic vinegar and olive oil dip to start. We followed by Haloumi and Vegetable char grilled kebabs with Pitta bread, humous, salad and cherry tomatoes, plus a side of lovely thin fries. All the food was excellent, as was the large glasses of Chilean Merlot. Superb coffee. All in all a very good lunch!
Bustophers Bar and Bistro – TruroWent to this restaurant when on hol last month and Loved this restaurant, one of the best curries we have ever had!!!
Rajpoot – St Ivesif you are looking for locally caught fresh fish then this is the plaice to go in falmouth! a lovely atmosphere in a central location, you won't be disappointed.

Any pie and a pint for £15 every Thursday.
Any steak and a pint for £20 every Friday.
