Cornish Deli – St IvesWe regularly visit KAM in Budock Water and have ALWAYS received top-quality food, service and value for money. An acquired way of eating (i.e. with your fingers and from a wooden platter!), the food is plain and tasty. Chicken in the rough, scampi, fish etc, all well-presented and brought by the constantly smiling (if terribly dressed!) waitresses. The mead tasting is a MUST, as long as you're not driving home of course.
King Arthur’s Meadery – FalmouthWow! We LOVE Asha! Mine and my partner's relationship has literally run through this restaurant. We have even contemplated holding our wedding reception here ;-) Fantastic food, staff that will do anything they can to please you and ridiculously cheap prices, Asha is the place to go to eat.
Asha – FalmouthLovely food, beautifully cooked in a great location. Service was brilliant and it was an all round winner that I would go back to frequently if I lived in the area! We went for the pre-7.30 special, which was amazing value for money. The staff were not snooty about the fact we were eating from the special offer menu, either. Highly recommended!
Alba – St IvesA few of us went to Onshore last weekend and had a great time. Food was unbelievable as was the service from some lovely girls! Fantastic outlook over the harbour as well. We will be back soon for an encore xx
Onshore Restaurant – St IvesA group of us went last saturday night for a meal and had a cracking time. Food was to die for and the atmosphere was brill, not to mention the cocktails that were out of this world! I think I had 3 too many, however all in all a great great night.
One Eyed Cat Bar and Restaurant – TruroMe and my wife have not been to Cornwall in along time but i can quite honestly say this is the best restaurant we have ever been to and with living in London we get to eat at some top end restaurants like the ledbury, square, petrus etc. From the delightful canapés right through to the last sip of my espresso was a amazing, its a shame the rest of Padstow restaurant scene does not keep up the standards no names mentioned STEINS, MARGOTS, overcooked, overpriced, and will be overlooked when we come next year well done no.6
Paul Ainsworth at No 6 – Padstowthe menu was limited but everyone enjoyed their meals. the roast beef was fantastic with a modern Sunday lunch feel. The mackerel was the best i have ever tasted. The apple crumble was to die for. The atmosphere was relaxed and informal with large wooden tables and comfy chairs. The staff were friendly and attentive. All excellent but there was no alternative for children especially if you have fussy little ones.
Gurnards Head – St IvesGreat food and really good atmosphere. The steak was superb and there is a great selection for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. Would strongly recommend for a relaxed family evening.
Peppers Pasta and Pizzeria – St IvesI recommend the kingfisher to anyone visiting St Ives. The food and prices have got to be the best for any resort in Cornwall. Once visited you will definitely visit again.
Kingfisher – St IvesBooked at short notice for a table of 11, they were very helpful and organised it so we could eat. The atmosphere was very laid back and relaxed but not at the expense of quality. The Staff were superb, patient, cheery and efficient. We had a great Sunday lunch and everyone commented about how good everything was. Gurnard we salute you!
Gurnards Head – St IvesThe Gurnard's Head is a splendid hotel with typically Cornish character. Beers are good and well priced. Staff are professionally friendly. Food is very good and well presented but lacks balance. My steak came with a gratin but no vegetables beyond the potato that was within it. The menu didn't offer a vegetable selection, although it did refer to a portion of "leaves". My partners steak had a generous portion of fat. The steaks were cooked perfectly to taste but steak knives, or sharper table knives would have made cutting easier. Two starters and two mains came to £42.50 without the cost of drink. Vegetables would, in my view, make what is a very good dinner excellent. Oh...and please trim the steaks !
Gurnards Head – St IvesWe had our small wedding lunch here in September, champagne & canapes on the decking, lunch inside with lots of seafood, and a lovely wedding cake which they supplied. The sun shone and we paddled on the beach; highly recommended; we also had dinner earlier in the week also superb
Spero’s – Scilly IslesVery friendly inn, landlords Steve & Chris made you feel very welcome. Home cooked food was excellent and very reasonably priced, with friendly service. Will definitely go back.
Devil’s Stone Inn – Launcestonthey talk about a complete refurbishment and importing chef's from london etc. Well they're right. Brilliant meal, massive lobster from the huge tank, venison perfect....beautiful staff, loved it and will return
Waterfront The – PerranporthI was in the salt bar last Friday night, at last there is a place to go to in hayle where you dont have to be a local to fit in.
