Disappointed.... This pub used to be excellent, but scruffy staff, expensive drinks, poor service, and a lack of atmosphere made this experience a disappointing one... The food was OK, but the starter was only warm, and we had to ask for the veg side dish that was supposed to come with pepper chicken. Definitely not as good as it was.....

Went with Grandaughter last Tuesday. Excellent meals & drinks. Super service from the two young ladies.

Had a Camembert sharer for starter, 10oz rib eye with chips and trimmings, cheesy garlic bread on the side. Food was impeccable couldn’t fault it, steak cooked perfectly medium rare, lots of bread with the starter and a lovely chutney - plenty for 2 to share. Went midweek so was very quiet and drinks took quite a long time to come to the table. Staff all very pleasant. Bill was about £100 for 2 meals (starters and mains) and a bottle of Prosecco which I thought was okay for value given the food was all so lovely. Will definitely return.

My friend and I had a lovely meal. The young staff were extremely good and very accommodating of my friend who is gluten intolerant.

Avoid peak times, gets vey busy, bar staff cant cope. If you dont mind waiting not a problem. Other than that all good

Was sat waiting for food for 40 mins with no one telling us to expect delay. When the meal came no apology was offered and I did not expect to receive cabbage served with chips, it does not go together at all. I did tell the server but nothing was said or done, pretty poor really.

Over priced

OH…MY…GOD!! Everything was perfect. I had to change my reservation time last minute, and the lady on the phone was so accommodating, got the time changed for me with no problems at all. The service inside was amazing, the food was absolutely on point too. We sat outside, and the surroundings were perfect. It was such a lovely, peaceful evening. Would recommend to anyone and we will 100% be coming back!

Pleasant atmosphere, attentive staff and great food

My self and 4 friends came for a meal and were greeted by friendly staff .all our meals were lovely and service was excellent

Food was lovely, two meals were steak and was cooked as required. The other meals were halloumi chicken (chilli jam was tasty) and peppered chicken (a special) and the chicken was not dry. Wasn’t a long wait for food either and it was a Saturday night. Staff are really friendly.

Food was good, especially the Pate and Toast with red onion chutney which was devine. My main dish chicken with pepper sauce was good, however a little too many peppercorns.
