Our first visit to the Old Crown won't be our last. The staff were the best, great friendly service. The pub had a pleasant, family friendly atmosphere. The food was beautifully cooked, nicely presented and was fabulous. The starters of mushroom brunette and lamb kofta were delicious and our main courses of a cheese and bacon burger and a crispy hunters chicken burger were scrumptious. The bill was good value and we can't wait to return to this hidden gem.

It was the first time that I had visited The Old Crown and I was very pleased with the pub. The food was excellent and the staff were most helpful. I believe the owner also came and had a word with us which was also very nice. I shall be returning again.

Great delicious food great service good value for money

Tried the Old Crown as recommended by a friend. It was a Friday lunchtime and quite busy - a good sign. Very impressed with the food from the £10 menu. There was a good atmosphere as quite a few people seemed to be regulars and the staff were very welcoming too. I feel that we’ve found a gem and would certainly eat here again.

Service yesterday 30 January was excellent, the pub was full of customers and nothening was to much trouble !, doesn’t matter what time of day you pop in to the pub the staff are always friendly ( service with a smile ).Sundays are always busy so it’s best to book so your guaranteed a table !, I’ve never seen on offer @ a carvery so much choice & what i do like is the food is hot always being topped up & turned over so nothing looks dry !!!!! like it does @ a lot of carverys ! very tasty & excellent value for money . I dnt just eat Sundays i eat in the week from the 2 for £10 menu a good choice of food to pick from ! the regular menu has obviously a more wider choice & im always torn what to pick .If you drive past & always wonder what it’s like to eat thier then you must go in & try yr be very satisfied for sure .

We booked a table for a lunchtime meal yesterday with friends for the first time. We were looked after by a lovely lady (sorry I don't know her name) from the minute we arrived until the minute we left. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she checked everything was ok several times during our stay. She had a great rapport with all her customers and made our lunch even more enjoyable. We all had different meals, all of which were really tasty and well presented. We would definitely recommend The Old Crown to others and hope to see you again soon, thank you.
