We had a lovely meal and afternoon in the Courtyard at The Old Crown on Friday 7th May a birthday treat for my friend brilliant service and friendly staff as always.

Lovely food, good service.

Have been here twice since the new outdoor eating has been allowed. The first visit we could not fault any aspect at all. The 2nd visit was completely different. Unfortunately they were short staff which can't be helped sometimes, but upon arrival we were informed they were fully booked. I had booked online and was very forcefully told "everyone was being told last week not to book online as it doesn't work". We had such a good time the week before we booked again and if we had of been told of such an instruction, I would have called and booked. The two ladies were rushed off their feet taking orders in the garden, but 5 large group tables came in after us and were served drinks and food orders taken before us. As said the ladies were very busy, so may have been hard to keep an eye on what was what - no problem. However, when we did order, although the order was read back to us and confirmed when the guy came to take payment a meal was missing. That being said as with all the times we've been to the old crown before, the food was perfect. Well presented, hot and fresh. Couldn't be faulted. Our child's meal was great. The menu had plenty of choices. One note of feedback: turn the hot drinks machine on before 12pm. Even with the hiccups I would still not hesitate to recommend this place. You won't be disappointed with the food here. Make sure you order the chips! Regardless, we will definitely be back.

We received a warm welcome, and friendly information on how they operated. Our booked table was in the covered and heated area which is very cosy. The whole of the outside area and garden has had a lot of work carried out to a very high Standard. The staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, and the menu had more choice than other pubs we have looked at. Well done the Old Crown, top food, service and value for money as usual!!!

Very welcoming. Lovely food. Staff looked after us and followed Covid regulations. Overall lovely experience. Have a few more dates booked up.

Delicious Sunday lunch with great table service and a lovely bottle of the house Pinot, I’ll definitely be going again.

Lovely food, great value for money, children loved the play area, will be retuning very soon.

Could not fault the food from start to finish, the home made chips are a favourite. Great place to go whether your going with friends, family or as a couple, it was very accommodating with a lovely new decor both inside and out. Will be visiting again soon :)

Excellent afternoon. lovely food really good service considering we were outside Chicken pie was one of the best and the chips are to die for. 4 different meals we ordered and everyone was very good.

Great to be back. Fabulous food and great service as always. The fishcakes and chicken pie - delicious.

Had a lovely lunch 2 courses for £10 fabulous food and great value for money will definitely be returning .
