Stunned to be served mushy processed peas with scallops as a supposed Pea Puree, I have eaten and served pea puree on many occasions but never in this form. Beef stroganoff thick and congealed. Horrible. First and last visit.
So Salsa – CrosbyWent for lunch at the Fat Italian on Christmas Eve with a large family party. the food and atmosphere were excellent and the grilled sardines I had as a starter were one of the most delicious things I have ever tasted. Highly recommended.

Food was fabulous. Staff were lovely. Toilets were very clean and tidy and the overall restaurant was fab.Best in Crosby and surrounding area!*****HIGHLY recommended *****

The Fat Italian – Crosby6 of us had a table booked last night for 8pm. We waited for over an hour for our starters and finally got our main course at 9.45. Very disappointing.

So Salsa – CrosbyI often go here with my boyfriend and we love the food. Its a small, well decorated and warm place. The food is excellent, especially the pastas, which you can tell are all freshly made to order. They even do an early bird and Sunday offer of £5 for any pasta and pizza. We only found out by chance when calling in one evening. Highly recommended and always been a hit for us.

So Salsa – CrosbyHave visited the Fat Italian on numerous occasions now and have tried most things on the menu and it really is a fabulous restaurant. The service is excellent with a really relaxing atmosphere and the chef is obviously very talented as the food is always beautifully presented and extremely tasty. Recently made the mistake of trying out a city restaurant (San Carlos) thinking it might be more special, shouldn't have bothered as it wasn't a patch on Fat Italian. Highly recommend it and will return for many years to come! Well done to all the staff!

The Fat Italian – CrosbyWhat a great place this WAS to eat,now although they advertise 2 for £10 DONT BE FOOLED THIS OFFER HAS STOPPED. Really enjoyed the value for money and pleased that it was getting busier and busier over the last few months, so much we started booking and the staff are always friendly and helpful BUT WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT now the deal has finished although it has been replace with a 2 for £12 Pizza or Pasta dishes. The main dishes although value for money are more in line with restaurant prices not Bistro prices. It will be interesting to see if the place looses its appeal to its passing trade or regulars like us

Staff excellent, nothing any trouble from them on our numerous visits, going tonight and Sat having already been last Tuesday.so it must be good. Location is also excellent and very relaxing, not like a pub.NO TV's great!
Lakeside Bistro – CrosbyI went to the Pioneer just recently on a Saturday night, The bar area was very very busy, The food there was absolutely fantastic. My steak was cooked to perfection. The portion was just enough so you are full but not uncomfortable, the brownie dessert was nothing short of fantastic the both of us are still raving about it now. We will both be back together and with friends very shortly 10/10
