My partner and I recently went for a meal on a Saturday evening. The layout looks great from when you walk in. It is very modern looking and looked very vibrant. We were attended to very promptly and the menu looked good. The service was very attentive with lots of staff on their toes and buzzing around. The table layout meant that there was a long row of tables with a small gap between tables. Unfortunately, it appeared to be a main route for the staff to pass by our table and ocassionally, our table was caught by staff members walking past. I am afraid that it totally spoilt our meal and we had to hold onto our drinks glasses every time a staff member walked past.

Absolutely amazing food and stunning surroundings. The staff are really attentive and friendly The food is amazing and would highly recommend the steak it’s so tasty with the most amazing chips ! We will certainly be back and it’s great to see a local lad doing well

Just the two of us ate here on a Thursday evening, as a treat to celebrate my wife's birthday. We shared five items off the tapas menu plus chips and had a dessert each. Everything was extremely delicious. The ambiance and decor is perfect and all of the ample staff were very polite, friendly and attentive which is a rare bonus these days. We couldn't fault anything. Not having had this style of tapas before, I did find it a bit fiddly halving/sharing the well presented tapas portions and would personally prefer instead two smaller tapas portions (one each) when sharing for two people. I will be looking forward to returning to perhaps try something from the bar menu or maybe a steak.I wish the team every success, as they deserve no less for their investment and hard work so far!

We visited CDJ on Sunday. It’s a beautiful restaurant and the decor is amazing. I have been to the previous restaurant on several occasions and have always had a fantastic meal. We ordered starters which we thoroughly enjoyed and then we had the roast dinners. I opted for the beef and my husband and son had the lamb. The beef (pink) was perfect, the lamb shanks had plenty of meet on that fell off the bone. We order a side of cauliflower cheese which was plenty for the three of us as there were plenty of vegetables. I would say that it is the best roast I have had for a long time. The only downside that I would mention is that although the playlist was fantastic it was very loud. The volume did go up on a few of the songs which was quite unbearable. I do wear hearing aids and struggled to hear the waitresses. Also when having a meal you would appreciate being able to talk to people on your table without raising your voices. I have spoken to a couple of people who have visited and they also mentioned that the music was far too loud. I really hope this can be rectified as we can’t wait to revisit as the food is superb.

Really enjoyed the visit Saturday night with girl friends. Despite being so busy the food service and staff were excellent. We especially enjoy the egg ravioli. Thank you Dan and team.

Fantastic ,from the food the staff and the venue we had the Sunday 2course excellent value top quality product cooked and presented very well , really pleased to see a none branded champagne at a reasonable price only very small negative was the coffee but the food made up for it

We’ve been wanting to try this local restaurant since they opened and finally got round to it by booking for Thursday Streak Night. Excellent meal, our Rib Eye Steaks were cooked well, juicy and tender. The menu included a bottle of wine which although only a house red was perfectly acceptable. Couldn’t resist the urge for desserts, which again were lovely. Service was good, although we were actually dining quite early and midweek. The decor and layout is attractive and the ambience was good. We were a little unsure of the loud boisterous noise coming from the adjoining bar area but this was due to a birthday gathering and did disperse later which was fine. Some sort of partition glass door to separate the restaurant from the bar area might eliminate the loud noise from time to time perhaps, as it was very open

Visited for our wedding anniversary and unfortunately we were given each other’s steaks and the waitresses need to learn how to serve food properly as passing hot plates is not satisfactory- they should be put on the table and not expect the customer to take them from your hands. Our family had been in earlier in the day to pay towards our meal as a surprise but the staff failed to tell us or deduct the money from our bill so they had to call back in to get a refund and were told that the voucher was on our table - well it wasn’t and we have a photo to prove that so they said someone would be in contact with us but a week later and we’ve heard nothing. Disappointing!

Food was fabulous lovely decor. Great service especially the young man with the glasses (sorry don’t know his name) He was so professional and had such a lovely manner. He is an asset to your business.

It is our second visit to CDJs and just as lovely as the first time! I have recommended it to several friends to visit and they have loved it! The food is fabulous. Beautiful setting and nice friendly staff! Have booked again for 2 more visits before the end of the year so looking forward to those. Highly recommend here

Food was spectacular, as was the service and setting. We had a family birthday celebration and an age range from 3 to 91years and everyone loved the occasion, even though it was quiet because of the time of day that we came and that there was to have been a 'Taster Dinner Event' later that night. Thank you so much CDJ. Memorable experience! There may be other restaurants just as good as this one but I can assure you there are none better!

Saw this restaurant in the magazine Live Ribble Valley so thought we would try it. Mum and I had the 2 course lunch menu and were very pleased with the food. We will certainly be going back.

I’ve pretty much tried every menu here and without a doubt the Sunday dinner 3 courses is our favourite. Value for money and very tasty. I ordered the beef dinner and although the beef is cooked just how I like it I would probably say you need to ask for it to be cooked to your own liking otherwise it may be a little too rare. The decor the service and location is excellent. We’ve tried the steak night too which is also good value and the bar menu and the tapas. If going for tapas I would order at least 5 dishes between two and go from there. The desserts are delicious so make sure you squeeze one in

We enjoyed the meal overall but I was disappointed to find that the Monkfish Wellington was also wrapped In meat. The menu needs to be clearer as I felt this was too stodgy with pastry and a pancake and meat with little fish (for a non meat eater ) My husband had beef which was nice but no horseradish Also the coffee machine wasn’t working so not available either !

Excellent service and food. Decor modern and chic. Cannot fault it and would highly recommend.
