It was just ok. Friday 7.30pm and tapas and steak menu. Salmon wellington was overcooked and dry. Honey chicken comes as sliders, they were ok. Other things just OK. Staff are very pleasant and polite, venue is pleasant. I had heard good things but IMHO it’s very overrated, overpriced and very very average at best

It was ok. It was tapas or steak menu at 7.30pm on a Friday. The salmon wellington was over cooked and dry. The honey chicken actually comes like a slider, again it was ok. Other bits were just OK. I’ve heard good reviews about this place but IMHO it’s over rated and over priced. Very underwhelming and Very average pub grub. Staff were lovely, the venue is nice. Not sure I’d return

Love this place, food was outstanding, the chips, well what can I say, the best chips ever. Service was great too and a great atmosphere, will definitely be returning.

Friday night tapas was perfect. Loved the small touches and attention to detail, crockery and glasses all lovely and complement the delicious food. Will definitely return.

We had a fabulous time, My Mums surprise birthday meal. 18 dining on the Sunday roast set menu. The food was delicious, the service was attentive and friendly and nothing too much trouble. My only moan is I wished you were served more soup for the starter and you need to buy in some sauces . The steak was lovely and pink and the lamb shanks were delicious. The chef even made my mum a special (off the menu request) for prawns her favourite and omg they were amazing!! We had further guests come down after we had finished dining for drinks and a big slice of birthday cake, again staff were accommodating regards plates and serviette’s and we got a bonus 20% off the food bill. Everyone was impressed and would highly recommended CDJ the decor was beautifully done, toilets were spotless and just a really lovely venue. We can’t wait to return. Thank you CDJ for making my Mum’s birthday so special. Xxx

The food was excellent and very good value for the quality. The establishment is very tastefully done with the finer details such as high end crockery, cutlery etc. The staff were very pleasant albeit lacking in experience. I sat with an empty wine glass for a while and had to ask for another glass which didn’t arrive without a further prompt. Overall a great place with a fabulous menu. Will be back.

From booking to leaving after the meal staff are friendly , are table was opposite the open kitchen so we could see the chiefs working away we went on Sunday the 19th their was only the the Sunday menu to which I think is fine, the staff were all in uniform very nice to see for a change, friendly and professional throughout the meal portions were right on the button except the the desserts on the small side the meal was cooked to perfection as my wife pointed out to one of the chiefs on leaving, the ambience of the place is very good music was a tad to high but this did not take away from the evening, they have a very good team working together tables were cleared and cleaned straight away and presented for the next customers we had a very enjoyable evening and will definitely be returning to try the mid week menu thank you and well done

Very disappointed in last night's meal. It was a special occasion for 2 of our party and certainly did not live up to reviews and recommendations. The main meals arrived together with one of our parties starter so she had no choice but to eat together as all the other mains had arrived. Obviously a mix up but no apology or explanation given. The pies quite clearly are bought in and are NOT made on site. I challenge the chef to demonstrate him making the pies as I know which company they are from as I have had them regularly and even had a couple in my freezer!! The chips were far too thick and most of us couldn't eat them. Then the deserts came and only one of our party enjoyed theirs - the others leaving them as didnt taste good. Tea and coffee were a disaster- no tea pots and no milk came after asking staff several times. All in all a very disappointing experience not to be repeated. The restaurant and decor are stunning but disappointingly do not reflect in the food. We were all so looking forward to this and we're bitterly disappointed. In my opinion definitely one to give a miss!!

My husband and my daughter’s partner had the steak which I did have a taste and can say it was cooked to perfection. It was gorgeous. I had the wellington salmon which was lovely nicely presented. My daughter had the glazed chicken however couldn’t taste or see any chicken. She opened it up and we couldn’t hardly see any at all. The venue itself is lovely and also the outside. Would return but more for the lunch menu and sitting outside in the sun.

Excellent just excellent

Absolutely loved everything about this place. Staff lovely and attentive, food was fabulously tasty and beautifully presented. The vibe was spot on and all our party said we would come again. We'll done to all involved, you are all superstars.

I had a lovely birthday celebration meal at CDJ on Saturday. This is the second time I have been and both times the food has been absolutely amazing. The setting is gorgeous and we appreciated everything from the table setting to the fantastic DJ who was playing non stop amazing tunes at just the right volume to allow us to enjoy listening whilst chatting at the same time. We finished of with a gorgeous cocktail each in the bar. Can't wait to go back.

The 3 times we’ve been here since it’s opening have been a superb dining experience! The food quality and expertise of the chefs in getting things right with 1/ the food 2/ the waiting on staff ( very pleasant and naturally engaging ) 3/ the pricing structure which Although not cheap, is set at about the correct level, taking into account the haven Dans vision Has created emitting an ambience that the regular diners enjoy.

A gem of a find for a group on tour in the area. We had our Christmas meal together and the food was delicious, the venue so pretty and decked out for the season and it was a great way to spend the close of our Christmas season. Thoroughly recommed.
