Everything top class . The venue The steaks were sublime with those lovely chips and sauce We had a boogie dancing to Larry Sosa DJ and Miranda The staff are lovely and even charged my dying phone ! A perfect night Keep up the good work!

We have been several times and love the atmosphere the excellent warm and friendly service. Vegan options were available for two of our family members and they thought it was some of the best vegan food they’d had in restaurants!

CDJ Riverside Bar and Kitchen – DarwenHad a lovely Sunday lunch menu meal with friends between the festive and new year period. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food is lush and highly recommended. Only negative we give is ourselves and another table had to ask for the music to be tuned down four times over as it was hard to talk over it and kept being turned up. Apart from that wonderful place and will definitely be visiting again soon.

We were just disappointed that we seemed to be sat not quite in the restaurant meaning that people who had been to the rovers match came and stood around the table next to us and it just made us feel pressured to move as there wasn’t room for them to sit unless we moved up which really is not on when we hadn’t even finished paying for our food at that point. When you go somewhere nice to eat it’s not what you expect!

Service was rather slow as we didn’t have our orders taken for first 10 mins then waited another 10mins before asking where our drinks were. Our drinks arrived two mins before our meal. Food was fantastic although I did find my steak to be quite salty. Again service for drinks is slow for no good reason. I would come again

We had fish & chips, beef & ale pies, beef burger and chicken burger followed by sticky toffee pudding and apple cheesecake. Food was delicious and staff very attentive. Pie and a pint deal for £10 was a steal. A gem of a place. Not sure whether to shout from rooftops or keep hidden for our next trip.

We loved how open the kitchen was the decor was really stunning too with the outdoor space and glass roof. I have not enjoyed a meal out so much in a long time. I cannot wait to return. The bread was freshly baked and the chips were to die for.

Unfortunately we were sat at the tables near the bar which resulted in the feeling of eating in a waiting room. Customers waiting for their table were practically sat over us to the point where the waiter struggled to place the food on the stand before serving us. Customers were also staring at our food as we ate which became uncomfortable. It was a ruined first time experience simply due to where we were sat.

CDJ Riverside Bar and Kitchen – DarwenVisited on a busy Saturday night just before Christmas, the bar area was absolutely packed so we asked to move a little further into the restaurant. The food was amazing, we had the egg yolk ravioli which was ridiculously tasty, and the salmon wellington which was also fabulous. Followed by the Christmas pudding and a cheesecake, both desserts were Devine. Though placed as “tapas” on the menu these dishes are like a starter serving size, so if you’re not a big eater there’s plenty in two dishes per person. The result is you feel totally satisfied without being overfull. The restaurant itself is absolutely stunning, beautifully furnished inside, and we loved the open kitchen with chef himself busy working on full view. We’ll definitely be back!
