The food is absolutely delicious, and plenty of choice on the menu

I visited this beautiful restaurant with a group of my friends for the Sunday menu, I had two courses and everything we ate was absolutely delicous. Full of flavour, perfectly cooked and such good value! The service was prompt too! I will definitely be visiting again!

Fabulous food in stunning surroundings, the decor is gorgeous and the background music a treat for any Northern Soulies. Staff are all really helpful and very attentive. Sunday lunch at its best! Can’t wait for New Years Eve.

Our 2nd time eating at cdjs this time a special treat for my husband’s birthday sat at chefs table .Cannot recommend this enough my husband really enjoyed this was nice to speak to chef dan and watch what was going on in the kitchen .Food was Exellent the service from the staff was really good ,polite and friendly,good atmosphere with the choice of music .This place is well worth a vist the decor is beautiful and the Christmas decorations where very complimentary of the decor.

Had heard such rave reviews about this place and was excited to experience it. First issue was last minute request to move our booking time slot. It wasn’t easy for us to do but we accommodated. The stunning decor and ambience was as promised, the rest was not. We felt rushed with excuses of ‘our first Christmas’ and no Xmas menu or early menu available even though we were pushed to arrive for the early sitting. Plates whisked away before finished almost. Conversation difficult due to volume of music though the atmosphere created by the DJ was great. Maybe will try again when the season is over as food was delicious but the change of time and rushed service was off putting

We had the most delightful Christmas lunch for our group of 9 ladies! The festive decorations created a warm and cheerful atmosphere, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The food was absolutely delicious, with a great variety to suit everyone's tastes. The presentation of the dishes was just as impressive as the flavors. The service was attentive and friendly, without being intrusive, which made our gathering even more enjoyable. Little touches, like crackers and Christmas-themed table settings, made it feel extra special. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate the season together. Highly recommended for a festive get-together!

Excellent food however I won’t return due to front of house experience. It was also extremely cold, commented on by other diners.

What a wonderful place to eat! The restaurant has beautiful decor, the staff are friendly and professional, and the food is just delicious!! It's so apparent, that so much has gone into making the customer welcome and comfortable. CDJ's is a cut above, from the drinking glasses & cutlery, to the fabulous surroundings, the attention to detail didn't go unnoticed. We can't wait to return! (We look forward to sitting in the beautiful outdoor area too).

Came with friends and the atmosphere was good with the restaurant being decorated for Christmas.As usual the food was excellent.

Really great place to go for top class food and ambience. Good music too, though a tad too loud to chat easily. We were originally seated on a table at the end of the restaurant, though other tables were not occupied.. but there was no problem when we asked to move. Staff were very accommodating.

Celebrated my brothers 60th on 29/11, the place is a triumph from the ambience, decor to the staff and most of all the food - very creative and interesting with fabulous flavours, everything we ordered was excellent although the chips alone deserve a special mention like eating a perfectly formed fluffy cloud. Clearly a lot of thought applied to the decor and the staff are a joy, huge round of applause to you all for making our evening special, I don’t live locally but hopefully can return soon and will highly recommend to friends and family ☺️

We had a very good meal from the bar menu The food was excellent with very generous portions The staff were very friendly and attentive and the decor is very tasteful This is just what we need in this area Well done to the designers, staff and of course the excellent chef Well done

Beautiful decor and a warm welcome ,we booked for my partners birthday and he thoroughly enjoyed his meal he had surf and turf and he said the steak was one of the best he’d had and it was cooked to perfection he then ordered cheesecake and it arrived with happy birthday hand written in chocolate on the plate which made his night . We will definitely book again ,

We visited for a family Sunday lunch and I honestly can’t remember having a better one in recent years. The roast beef was cooked to perfection, there was plenty of veg and cauliflower cheese and pigs in blankets sides were a tasty addition. The food was supremely well presented and clearly cooked with top quality ingredients and with great care. The desserts too were delicious and the berry compote with the cheesecake was so rich and fruity. Being really picky, the cinder toffee was a touch burnt and the Yorkshire puddings slightly underdone, it that did not detract from a memorable meal. The music was a bit loud too. The venue is really smart and modern and has a relaxed vibe with comfy seats and decent sized tables. The staff were attentive, polite and professional and I would highly recommend for anyone wanting a special Sunday lunch. Can’t wait to return and try the main menu.
