Filippo’s Ristorante – PooleExcellent and friendly service with varied menus of superb quality
Ye Olde George Inn – ChristchurchThis is the some of the worst 'tapas' I've ever had. The beer was flat and the staff surly for us to had even suggested it. Quite frankly terrible. What a shame as it gives the impression of being nice outside and has a nice garden.
Bar Zuka – BournemouthA friendly welcome was received on arrival. Good range of beers including Ringwood Ales. Food was excellent value - trout and salmon dishes sampled - both for under £8 with choice of potatoes and vegetables, and all freshly cooked on premises. Ample parking. Well worth a visit.
The Owl’s Nest – FerndownOn a few days holiday and found this pub,What a Sunday lunch this is, the largest roast dinner i,ve ever had for £6.50, well cooked ,the pub it self was what I call untouched by modern layout you felt so at ease it was brilliant, the staff were very welcoming the whole experience was worth another visit and I shall be going back when down that way again.
King Charles Tavern – BridportThis has to be THE place to eat Indian food in Bournemouth - the food is delicious, the prices reasonable, the service excellent and the restaurant has a good friendly atmosphere. I've never found an Indian restaurant serving better food than here - and I've eaten in quite a few. One piece of advice - reserve a table before you arrive as the restaurant is VERY popular.
Winton Tandoori – BournemouthI would strongly recommend this Gastro Style Inn. It is open plan with very tastefully decorated decor, with quality fixtures and fittings. The Inn serves Real Ales as well as lagers and is linked to Hall and Wood house. The food is slightly more expensive than surrounding pubs but it is really well worth paying extra for an excellent menu that is well prepared with fresh produce, and served by a friendly waitress. The chef at this restaurant really knows his stuff. People travel long distances to get to this pub but is also supported by the more discerning locals.
The Bull Inn – WimborneHARRYS BISTRO IS BY FAR THE BEST THAT MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE EVER EATEN AT, THE MANAGER TIM CANT DO ENOUGH FOR YOU, THE FOOD IS THE BEST (TRY THE DUCK)
Harry’s – PooleHave found this restaurant to be very client-friendly. The ability to tailor-make a meal to ones taste and budget is a rare situation but at the Gorge they are excellent at such care and thoughtfulness. My visits are transfer-stops in travelling on the buses and as such are excellent.
The Gorge – Blandford ForumFantastic location even if the sun wasn't shining, the wild sea views were spectacular. Food was excellent along with the service and atmosphere especially being the last weekend before Christmas and we were treated to Christmas carols which were sung by a local group. Great place to take the whole family and will definitely be visiting By the Bay again.
By the Bay Restaurant – Lyme RegisFantastic location, affordable and great food. Friendly staff and really relaxing environment. Evening meals are delicious & good value and on Friday's in December there's a table top magician doing the rounds who is fantastic - a fab and fun evening out for family or friends in the run up to Christmas!
By the Bay Restaurant – Lyme RegisExcellent food and service with a very good wine selection.
The Blue Vinny – DorchesterLovely, really nice friendly atmosphere, hostess was really great and informative. Food was out of this world, can't recommend this place enough and what a find in Parkstone
Alghero Restaurant – PooleWhat a fantastic place, great food, wonderful setting and really fresh fish simply but very well cooked, not forgetting the best cakes I have eaten for a long time!
Quiddles Cafe – PortlandWith possibly the best view in Bournemouth, this restaurant turns into a busy bar/club later at night. However this does not detract from the quality of food which is very good. The menu is quite varied and easy to select from. The mussells are to die for. Also a good range of mid priced wines. Great for youngsters also adults wishing a fun evening.
Aruba Restaurant and Bar – BournemouthGood portions, friendly to families, near the beach and quite reasonably priced!
The Cobb Arms – Lyme RegisTerrible food and rubbish service
The William Henry – WeymouthExcellent food good friendly service restaurant was very busy on my visit however all dishes arrive in a reasonable time food was well prepared and enjoyable and at price that was within my budget.
The Carpenters Arms – Christchurch3 Courses, £24.95. Available lunch and dinner Monday to Thursday (any starter, pasta and pizza).
