Lovely local restaurant, had lunch with husband 08.12.2023, went for sharing dishes of Antipasto Italian , The Spanish prawns, Mediterranean prawns, bottle of house white wine, coffees and brandy's , just the pre Christmas lunch to have, lovely staff and food was most enjoyable , wish this restaurant every success, we will be back soon.

The food and staff was lovely as always , but there was a group of men at the back of restaurant on a round table .. very very loud and swearing and one of pulling his trousers down .. and there was children in the restaurant .. I think the staff should have said something to the group and all so I don’t think you should do a 10% service charge you should let people tip what they want to

We’ve eaten here many many times over the years this marvellous restaurant has been open, which should tell you all you need to know, really. The food is utterly brilliant, although be careful what you order, because portions are more than generous, and you might well end up like we do, sat there uncomfortably stuffed, looking sadly at a great deal of food that you can’t possibly fit in. The service too is terrific - very friendly and informal. One of our favourite eateries and very very highly recommended.

Excellent as always. Food and plates piping hot. Nice touch of the chef coming out of the kitchen and speaking with diners. Cheers guys

We have eaten here many, many times over the years the restaurant has been open and have never had anything other than superb, freshly cooked, exceedingly tasty food, served in very generous portions. We learnt long ago, for instance, that a single fried rice will more than suffice for two people - even with our ‘healthy’ appetites. The service is also terrific and we are greeted like old friends every time we visit … which I suppose we are now in a way. We will continue to visit as regularly as our waistlines and wallets will permit. We’re lucky enough (fromThe Ming Wah PoV anyway, ahem) to live here in Weymouth, but if you’re down visiting or on holiday, you really should eat here. You won’t regret it.

We had an excellent family meal the food was delicious and plates hot which pleased me very much as I don’t like to eat from a cold plate. The staff were very polite and accommodating when we asked if we could be seated earlier than our booked table. Very quick service and reasonable prices. Thank you.

Visited on a busy Saturday night, and although had made a booking had to wait as previous customers at our table hadn’t finished. Website hasn’t been updated, so prices are higher. Ordered a set menu, so price increase was another £6 for the two of us. Although busy was served promptly and first course arrived promptly. Spare ribs were very fatty but satay chicken was good. Crispy duck and main courses were plentiful and hot, but only mediocre. Lots of veg. and garnish, and not so much meat. Bill for two was £92.40 which included a bottle of wine and obligatory 10% service charge. In my opinion, not outstanding for the money.

Disappointing we were in Weymouth for our Anniversary and when we are in Weymouth we always go here for our Chinese. Although we booked our table 6 days earlier when we arrived our table wasn’t ready we had to wait 15 minutes standing up drinking our wine . The starters came and was lovely, then the main came which was fine but one dish was not what we ordered. No one came to ask if our food was ok . When we finished our meal we were sat for nearly an hour waiting for someone to clear our table and to ask us if we wanted a dessert or another drink , in the end I had to go and find a member of staff to ask to clear our table. We told them we had been waiting for an hour and they mumbled sorry but it did not feel genuine. So we asked for the bill paid and left . Although I let them know it was our anniversary there was no mention of it we just felt they were just too busy to give us the great service we usually get . A disappointing end to a great few days in Weymouth.

We booked a table for two on a busy Saturday evening. When we arrived the restaurant was pretty full but we were expected and led to our table straight away. Dealt with us then in an efficient way getting drinks and water and menus quickly. Food order came in good time. We only had a main meal and the food was good and a fair price. Staff were efficient and pleasant
