The Honey Bee – DroitwichBeen here the last 3 weeks awesome steak deal with bottle of wine great service and staff will be back next week bargain 30 mins drive but well worth it
The Honey Bee – DroitwichThe food was good - sizzling fajitas and steak - and a wider choice of types of meals on the menu compared to most other pubs . The service was prompt and welcoming. We ate early evening so the atmosphere was lacking and the furnishings are getting a bit jaded which is a pity as it's a lovely site.
The Honey Bee – DroitwichVery disappointing steaks tough and not up to usual standards. Rest of food felt cheap, starters nice. Usually go to place for steak but really disappointed :-(
The Honey Bee – DroitwichFantastic place well looked after and great value for money always look forward to going there. And bang on food
The Honey Bee – DroitwichExtremely disappointed and left hungry. I am a frequent customer and usually love the Honeybee but my latest experience means it will be a LONG time before I visit again. I sent my dinner back because my chicken was undercooked, pink raw across one whole section of the butterfly and cold to the touch. I had cut through several points to make sure! No apology was given by the member of staff who took away the plate but a new one was promised. I then waited a further 30 minutes, by which point my partner had finished her meal (chicken, which looked dubious, also undercooked, but not under enough to send back) and still no replacement meal had been sent. When I went in to complain, staff were not expecting another to have been sent out to me (I guess they expected me to just accept raw food or go hungry). I was issued a refund no problem but then was told that the chicken I had sent back was not undercooked but I had “CUT THROUGH A VEIN”. Already outraged at this point, I was furious because it highlights that there was no oversight, there was no intention of sending out a replacement meal, but also to argue with a customer is unacceptable, especially when it was COMPLETELY RAW. I also didn’t appreciate the complete lack of an apology or the ‘never mind’ attitude I was spoken to with. I wish I had taken a picture of the chicken before I sent it back as I would send it directly to management for them to see the incompetence of their kitchen staff - to say that the chicken was fully cooked is nothing more then gross negligence. Since the meal, my partner, who’s chicken I mentioned was dubious, has had an upset stomach. I hope for her and the Honeybee’s sake that she hasn’t contracted food poisoning or a form of salmonella….. Safe to say that, what was supposed to be a lovely evening at a lovely pub, was completely ruined by this experience and we will not be visiting again. Completely inadequate service and a lack of respect. A complimentary drink, which I turned down, will not make up for a ruined evening.
The Honey Bee – DroitwichDidn’t start great... apparently our booking was nowhere to be found. The table we had was essentially in a corridor. Really tired decor, chairs falling apart. No atmosphere. Food took over half an hour to arrive. The kids pizza was just a frozen Chicago Town pizza. Batter really watery on my fish. Chips were nice though.
The Honey Bee – DroitwichSo asked for 32oz steak and 5 min later manager explains it would take half hour and because it's so big may come charred. So I agree on two 16oz steaks..huess what over done and charred! On the next table a couple had been sat 15m b4 me and my partner and after eating our main they still hasn't been served. All but there different waiter/ess explaining how sorry they were and it a be 10 m. By the time we left they were still waiting! Guess they have a long way to go.. but what if I'd asked for the 48oz?? Our first meal out since lock down..4/10
The Honey Bee – DroitwichReally disappointed, food was awful presentation, quality and taste. Didn’t inform us prior to ordering what they’d run out of which was loads on the menu plus they ran out of coke. Salad consisted of small piece of lettuce little tomato and one piece of cucumber. It was cheap but it definitely looked cheap too! Real shame as it could be a lovely pub apart from that the staff were very attentive pleasant and jolly just a shame the food let’s them down!
The Honey Bee – DroitwichFood was awful! Ordered pizzas and chips off the kids menu for my children and the pizza was a microwave pizza and the chips were burnt! On my mix grill the meat was really poor quality. I asked for medium rare for my steak and it came blue!blood dripping all over my plate, mushrooms were swimming in grease and to top it all off while sitting there eating my food there were flys flying around
The Honey Bee – DroitwichExcellent food
The Honey Bee – DroitwichFood was lovely, atmosphere was chilled, they adhered to government guidelines and the staff were very helpful. Will definately dine here again
The Honey Bee – DroitwichExcellent food excellent service - always a favourite place for us.
The Honey Bee – DroitwichHaven't been for years. Lovely food. I would recommend to my family and friends. We will be back.
The Honey Bee – DroitwichAfter not visiting The Honeybee since the first lockdown, my husband Ian and myself along with 4 family members, 3 of whom had already visited the Honeybee on numerous previous occasions with us, were shocked and stunned to see how shabby it looked outside. Grass long, litter and numerous tables still with uneaten food and crockery etc awaiting collection. Inside a repeat of the dirty crockery situation met us. Our table was booked for 1:30 and by 4 pm we were vacating the premises!!!!!!!! How could a pub which has always been excellent in every way deteriorate so much. In such beautiful grounds too. We have always been proud to take our family and friends to the Honeybee, but I'm afraid to say we will not visit again until it improves. I have to say there was another table of people who were also disgusted. An excellent pub in beautiful grounds has in my opinion "gone to the dogs". My husband Ian has separately emailed King Henry taverns also to let them know of the situation.
The Honey Bee – DroitwichVery disappointed, we came here last year and really enjoyed it. However our latest visit left us rather disappointed, no diet drinks , j20s the meals that were available were over cooked and flavourless and table service was non existent once meals were delivered. Lack of stock not only with drinks but food and desserts too, this was blamed on the bank holiday weekend! The phone app didn’t work either despite numerous attempts. Very very poor
